sounds to me like the police department was protecting one of their own from a bounty hunter or bondsman whatever the case was there and the sheriff's department was going to help do the right thing. which seems to be the case more and more when it comes to sheriff versus police from what I see
Looks like a dik measuring contest between a bunch of guys without much to measure turned into a circle jerk. Blue lights, badges, and attitude cases on full display- - - - -and these guys wonder why they "don't get no respect!" LOL!
I simple phone call making a notification would lessened that unnecessary mess! Always notify any agency that may need to know or absolutely needs to know what's going on. That video is a unicorn in my experience. I guess it could happen but I never saw anything on or even near that level in my career.
There's a long history of sheriff departments and police departments not getting along.
Loved going to the yearly Pigbowl football games as a kid. One Uncle was Sheriff and One Police. Canceled it eventually sometime in late 80's to many injuries I guess.
