That'd be one rank litterbox.
Yes. With the Weatherby wallop.
I think "yes sir, no sir" might work.

Dat’s funny! Most Yankees aren’t that silly.
As Buddhists, they will soon find clarity at the point of a claw and become one with el tigre's tummy.
My wife trained one of her house cats to fetch. Never would have believed it was possible but she did it
While we are at "it', does elephant dung smell that bad?
Tony's ankles are bigger than both their necks...
I've heard tigers, are harder to train then lions?

Look at the laid back ears! Kitty's not having fun. Those 2 Scrawny idiots would even make a happy meat for kitty.

One of the Siamese female cats Mom had would retrieve her toy rabbit fur covered mouse over and over for you. She’d hop up in your lap and drop it then wait for you to throw it again. Till you got tired of it. 🤪

Not many have had close contact with tigers and do nor really grasp how big they are. Had a rare chance to scratch/pet one's noggin long time back and it purred. That is a sound so purrfect for a horror movie sound track I can't even explain it. Suffice to say, when I heard it I realized how incredibly stupid I could be now and then. I'm 6'2" and its ears were above my belt line.

One other occasion in 'Nam was somewhat scary. On a recon mission and flew over a small clearing in the A Shau Valley floor not too far from Hamburger Hill. Two tiger kitties about the size of a medium dog looked up at my chopper and were totally shocked...and even frozen in time and space. About 5 seconds passed and mommy came boiling out of the brush, snarling and swiping at me with her front paw. Not the least bit afraid and totally devoted to saving her young ones. Two things happened then. 1) I prayed to the Lord that my engine would not fail, and 2) my gunner wanted to shoot them all. I told him they ate dinks and he said, "Boy am I a dummy!" We left immediately.

DD. Great story as always!!!
If I remember correctly, seems like I read somewhere that tigers are the only big cats that purr like common house kitties.

Best friend growing up Dad was the Vet for the local zoo. He brought home two tiger kittens to hand raise and bottle feed that the mother rejected.
Got to feed them & play with them quite a bit. I was always amazed at how strong they were as kittens!

He said as they were returned to the Zoo and grew, they would still come over to the cages edge when they saw him and want him to rub them through the bars. He said it was incredible how loudly they purred.
Bobcats purr fairly loud also. At least mine does. He isn't a big cat, though. Only 31 pounds.
Y'all ever get in a physical altercation with some dudes that look like that? Those scrawny bastards can fight. They are made of muscle and rice and that's pretty much it.
my wife taught one of ours to sit and lay down on command

Wait... what?! I wanna see a pic of you petting a bobcat! Please? I've never heard of such

Two years ago I had one run right up to the edge of my boot while I was deer hunting. I did not think to pet it..
After a moment I said, "How goes?" and it ran off.

GF and I had a cat, and taught it to fetch. Same as you, he would do it until you were worn out.

She also trained him to lay down and roll over on command. It was funny stuff to watch. Also put a small rubber snake about 5' up on a cabinet with the tail hanging off. Cat would jump up and knock it off with a paw.
I’ve always wanted some trained pussy.

My grandfather was 5'6" and built like that.
Born in 1918, had a bunch of brothers, grew up in the coal mines, WWII infantryman.

Fighting wasn't foreign to those coal miners, Pap was one who enjoyed a good scuffle.
I have no idea how so much strength could come from such scrawny arms.

Quite a few big guys figured out what you know, the hard way.

That kind trains,
and is untrainable.

Maybe...
I don't know what kind of monks they are. Bhuddists practically starve themselves and do no exercise at all. They're pretty frail. Monks in other eastern religions can be exactly the opposite. They train hard every day and can be some really tough characters.
Just to look at the pictures, they look pretty tough to me. They're very wiry, not starved. Look at the chest and shoulders on the guy on top the cat. He's in shape.
Treats and lots repetition of course!

Kitties, dogs, ... humans? I thinks so. Only difference is humans, supposedly being smarter, require treats for life ie. tricks never become a sustained learned behavior without the treats. Additionally, "reward" has to become increased over time. Applies to many of the comments in this thread...

Back to the tiger, this trick is kind of similar to training your dog to let a treat sit on it's nose until you give it the command to react and snap it off out of the air. No different than this particular cat trick... we are just seeing a pic from the early stages of the "trick/treat" training system. Start off simple and it will take lots of time and "treats" to get to the final trained behavior. Big, wild cats being more difficult to domesticate require a little more patience and treats to get to the final "performance". No problem, lots of treats available in that neck of the woods!!!

With big cats, this trick should be taught outside... kind of messy(or at least on linoleum if it has to be performed inside!)

I was a scant few feet from one. It was an impressive beast.
Frail Bhuddist monks?

Thread reminds me of a song

A 'trained cat' is an oxymoron.
