Sorry to hear this. He also appeared regularly in Gray's Sporting Journal. One of my favorites.

Dang, like his story telling about Minnesota...a lot of the place-names I recognized.

He loved Daufuskie and did his best to save what he could of it. RIP

Thank for reminding me, another publication i regularly scoped out, primarily because of pinckneys contributions.

I really enjoyed his contributions to Sporting Classics. I grew up not many miles from his stomping grounds and was familiar with some of the locations he talked about. With some of his tales, it was like I was there since our experiences were so similar. He will be missed.
