Lets say your a Ted Cruz supporter and you believe all the junk that comes out of his mouth to the point that you have invested in his Super Pac. Then out of the blue he mentions he would only stay in the race only if he was leading in the polls. Being we are a year+ out from the election do you as the supporter feel confident that your candidate is in it to win it? The lead changes week by week and primary to primary. Still feel confident your candidate is in it for the long haul?
Both of the GOP's nominees in the past 2 national elections were not always winning primaries of the leading in the polls and both were serious about being president. Trump is not expecting to win let alone see a primary win!
