Should HRC win this next election, there will be plenty of blame slung around, and very little of it will go at the original culprits:

Pat Buchanan
H. Ross Perot
All the Perot voters.

That's right, any success that HRC has this November goes straight back to 1992 and that election. In 1991, GHWB was riding a wave of maximum popularity after the Gulf War, Reagan had turned the economy around, and America was again was prosperous and full of self confidence. Newt Gingrich and other young GOP House members were getting elected in Red States, and momentum for the GOP to regain the House for the first time since Eisenhower was building. So what happened?

First of all, Pat Buchanan led the attack for the Far Right against a sitting popular President because he wasn't Conservative enough to suit them. Buchanan jumped on Bush hoping to drive the Party further Right. He had no delusions that he was going to be elected President, he wanted to influence the Party politics. I doing so, his criticism of GHWB started the Dems dirty work.

H. Ross Perot and GHWB had a feud that goes back to the Texas days for both of them. Perot was the Trump of the 20th Century. A loud, brash Billionaire. His platform was he was going to Washington and "clean out the barn!".

Those two attacked Bush from every angle. Buchanan, Alan Keyes, and couple of other minor players made the ultimate political Party suicide by challenging a President much like Ted Kennedy did to Jimmy Carter in 1980. Meanwhile, H. Ross Perot decides he was going to single handedly changing Washington a went Third Party, and based his platform on the rising budget deficit and career politicians. Stuff that plays to Conservatives.

In the end, this bunch cripple Bush and allowed Clinton/Gore to win with less than 50% of the popular vote.

If not for this, GHWB would have won, and the Clintons would have never left Arkansas. As soon as Bill became President, HRC started her campaign. "8 for Bill, 8 for Hill".

The Clintons ran their Party and mapped out Hillary's path to the White House. Daniel Patrick Moynihan gave up his Senate seat and the Party gave her an uncontested nomination. It was thought that 6 years of Senate work would give her the bona fides to get elected in the disastrous post GWB election. Surprise, surprise, people hate her so much, her Party elects Øbama.

The Clintons negotiate a Sec of State gig for her to double down on her resumé, and we see had that went.

This has all been calculated since 1992. If she becomes President, I have a big F.U. for all Conservatives that wasted their votes on H. Ross Perot. Elections have consequences. Like tobacco, some election choices won't kill you until years later.
I've considered that many times. If Perot hadn't come on the scene, nobody would have ever heard of the Clintons again.
Perot was a wasted vote, just like Johnson will be this time for idiots.
While I agree with you about Perot, GHW Bush was just the first of the "Uniparty" presidents that we've been suffering under ever since.
He's so much in bed with the Clintons that he won't even endorse his own party's nominee.
Screw him and the horse he rode out on.

well , you can KMA , as I was one of those Buchanon voters in the primary......

Bush the elder stabbed conservatives in the back on a number of issues , including guns and taxes , his election loss is squarely on him

he showed his true colors again after Ruby Ridge and Waco , when he refuted his lifetime NRA membership ,

and now again when is he is backing HRC over Donald Trump
You should consider how small the world really is.

Ross Perot hated George Bush going back to Bush's days as CIA director for some personal slight. Probably fairly since Bush was pretty much universally regarded as a weasel by the likes of Nixon, Reagan, and many others.

So when he was a kid, Ross Perot was best friends with Frank White, one time governor of Arkansas and the only man to beat Bill Clinton in a head-to-head election and several others. I've see picture of a little high school band with Frank White, Ross Perot, and another guy who became very influential in the Arkansas Democratic Party.

The point? If you believe Perot gave Clinton the election because he hated Bush, you are probably right. Perot had plenty of contacts with people who knew Clinton intimately. Not just contacts, but was best buddies with them. There was undoubtedly collusion.
The worst part is that Johnson is sucking up 6% of the vote and harming Trump just like Perot did and the guy's crazier than Perot was. At least Perot was a successful business man, Johnson doesn't belong there. I know more than he does about running this country, and that ain't saying much.

The scary part is that there are 6% of the people out there who are willing to vote for this nut and another 44% of people who will vote for the socialist Hillary. These are scary times we live in.
You can trace a Clinton win straight to a corrupt electorate. All the conspiracy theories in the world cannot cover up the fact that the most of us vote for turds.
Good post and spot on. I will add the 2012 folks who either stayed home or voted kook.
Yep, the same stuff we are hearing from those protest voters that won't vote for Trump, we heard back in the day.

"He's not conservative"

"He compromises too much"

Yep, we heard that about GHWB. To tell the truth, GHWB was much more moderate that Reagan. I didn't like him nearly as much as Reagan, and still don't. I've met GWHB on several occasions and enjoyed pleasant conversation. I still prefer Reagan. That said, I was smart to realize that making a protest vote for Big Ears was stupid and would put Clinton in office.

We have exactly the same scenario cooking right now. Dumbasses can protest Trump by voting Johnson or not voting, and help elect HRC. History will repeat itself but with much more dire consequences:

- Supreme Court nominees. You'll get the turbo versions of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. you can bet some Lani Guiniers (Google that for those who weren't around).

- Muslim take over of the World. Muslims in your neighbor and Muslim and Third World immigrants will be stacked ten deep in every Red State to turn them purple as fast as possible. They will be in your neighborhood. How are those Somalis doing in St. Paul MN? how are the "Syrians" doing in Idaho? How about the "refugees" planted in Stone Mountain GA? Welcome your new new neighbors. Get your meat Halal. EWnjoy that brand new Islamic Center build in your community.

- BLM.....I can't hardly even go there. Just bet that if George Soros sees that his Occupy Wall Street bunch, then his BLM bunch are killing this country, you can bet next he'll fund the Hispanic version to tear up Texas, Arizona, and send Florida and California into chaos.

- Kiss your guns goodbye. Ban lead for ammo. Ban Hi Cap mags (again. Look up Clinton magazine ban you youngsters). Ban sales of reloading equipment. Ban importation of ammo and guns. Justice Dept will sue gun makers out of existence.

- Expansion of Obama Care until the medical system breaks and the government takes it over and we are left with VA type care. Thanks a lot. With that, you will never see an MD of European origin again. No Jewish MD (who do a buttload of research BTW). Your Docs will all be Indian, Pakistani, Iranian, or other. The government will pay for them to go to Med School and they will work it off working for the new Gov Health Care system. Your wait times will be worse than Canada, and your benefits less than Canada because you will have more people taking from the system than putting into it.

Yep, you bastards keep your high moral ground. Phouc Trump! Don't vote for him. However, don't you dare open your trap when you're faced with the above scenario 10-15 years down the line. It will be on your high moral conscious.
I have no problem voting for Trump.....I did have a problem voting for Bush I

Reagan never wanted Bush for his running mate......Bush was forced on Reagan by the Repub establishment machine
When Clinton won the first time a coworker was complaining about him.

"Who did you vote for?" I ask him.
"The Vietnam vet. I made a statement," he told me.
"Then shut up. You already did all the talking I care to hear."

You can trace a Hlliary win back to.....

Anybody that voted for Trump in the primary.

I know that is unpopular as hell around here, but it's the truth.

A lot of Trump supporters are angry now, but they are going to be really pissed if Trump wins.

Which I expect him to do.

True. I always that was a strange deal. The idea was to give Reagan some Foreign Policy credibility with the former CIA director. This was thought important especilly in light of the Cold War and Iranian Hostage Crisis. Very reminiscent of Kennedy/LBJ. That was an even stranger couple.
Any Hillary win is strictly due to the GOP picks over the last 40 years, nothing else!

I would expect a Hillary win to be by fraud.

That opens us up for another disturbing topic.
I just happened to be checking where the state of the race was at according to Nate Silver and saw this. I will watch it later this evening.

The Ross Perot Myth
Deep voodoo, chicken feathers and the 1992 election.

By FiveThirtyEight

George H.W. Bush only lost his re-election bid in 1992 because a peculiar independent candidate from Texas, Ross Perot, drew more voters away from Bush than from Democratic candidate Bill Clinton. It’s one of the most enduring myths in U.S. presidential election history. Perot ran a quirky “outsider” campaign that in many ways presaged the Donald Trump phenomenon of 2016. It all amounted to one of the most successful third-party bids in U.S. history; Perot won 19 percent of the popular vote. But, no, Perot did not cost Bush the election, as “The Perot Myth” — a film from FiveThirtyEight and ESPN Films, directed by John Watkin and Eamon Harrington — makes clear.
I believe it because many of those Perot voters are dead and it is certain they are voting Democrat this election.

Don't forget that in addition to Perot being very cozy with Billary when he was governor Arkansas, Billary was also in charge of dealing out Arkansas state high tech contracts and Perot's Texas Instruments was the recipient of many of them.

It goes without saying that Perot entered the race to defeat Bush and install his friends, Billary and Hillary in the White House.

And if you "smart people" had voted your conscience, we would have elected Perot. That was the last election for POTUS that we had a chance to take our country back, and you "smart people" screwed it up.
Right. Third Party candidates win all the time. Like George Wallace and Ralph Nader.
Perot said clinton would turn us into
a nation of "chicken pluckers" in reference to Tyson Foods Corp. in Arkansas.
When HRC wins in Nov you can blame the Trump supporters for being too stupid to know he couldn't win...They all fell for the MSM propping him up in the Rep.primaries only to laugh when you Trumpers actually bought into a dead horse winning the derby. The rest was easy between Trump self inflicting and the MSM tearing him down after they purposely lifted him just for this reason, way too easy HRC and the MSM leftists

Wakey wakey....never mind it's too late
Yep dumbass Trumps supports are basically elevating HRC into the top job. Anyway they've been told from the get go yet persisted with this conman....

Perot wasn't buddies with Clinton, he just hated Bush with a white hot passion. Like I said, Nixon and Reagan pretty much felt the same way.
I read up on whether Perot cost Bush the election a few months ago and what I found was Daddy Bush had bigger problems than Perot.

Perot votes wouldn't have swayed the election.

Bush was down something like 18% points to Clinton at one point.

If someone can point to an article that states otherwise I'd like to see it.
