Dovetail blank for my savage mk2 - 01/15/13
I am looking for a dovetail blank for the rear sight dovetail on my mark2 i believe it is 1/4 inch? I havent had any luck finding anything so if anyone knows it would be of great help thanks!

FWIW, sight dovetails are measured at the widest, and not the narrowest, part.
The female dovetail slot on your Savage should have been cut to the US standard 3/8", for which several different slot filler blanks are available from MidwayUSA and/or Brownell's -
OR
- One can be filed out of the male dovetail section of any old longleaf rear sight, usually available for a dollar ot three from a gunsmith, or free, from your scrounge box.
