Well, i got it home and away we went to the range. First of all i'm very impressed with Rugers fit and finish job. The trigger breaks clean but is a little heavy for me. A spring kit will fix that. These are very well made pistols. On to the shootin. I loaded up 50 rounds in virgin WW 44Spl brass with WLP primers. Poured in 6gr of W231 and toped it off with a 240gr hardcast from HMS. It took 10 rounds to get it sighted in. Then i proceeded to cut the "little" red diamond out of the redfield target with the other 40. grin Thats about a 2" group off hand at 15 yards. Needless to say i'm Very Happy with my little Ruger 44Spl. I need more lead! smile
Easier way to fix the trigger than switching springs:

And, that's superb shooting with the first load right out of the box! Congrats!
Mine shot the same way, and I did the "poor boy trigger job" on both my 5.5" and 4 5/8" 44spl flattops as well.
Good deal. These are just about the best thing Ruger ever made. Good shooting. reflex264
