Way too many squirrels running around here...anyone have a good recipe for them?
Fried squirrel and gravy is always hard to beat. Or Brunswick stew , squirrel n dumplings.

that's they way it was done & is done in the ne Ga. mtns. squirrels are about the same everywhere, i reckon.
i haven't eatin any squirrel sense my buddies dad passed away ,he could cook up some damn fine squirrel gravy.
I do them like my pop did.

Quartered, brined, seasoned flour, and fry. Pan gravy is a plus.

This ^^^^!
all of these^ ^ ^ ^
haven't tried the br. stew yet, but
it's next on the list. i made some
squirrel with ramens a few years ago,
and it's pretty good. i just use a
small part of the flavor packet, and
add some mixed vegetables if i have
some. squirrels are cooked in a slow
cooker and deboned.
hard to beat squirrel and dumplins though.
