beefan gets it done in TN! - 04/28/17
We've had an unusual turkey season in TN, one of the warmest late winters and early springs on record had birds in our area all out of sequence. A lot of very early breeding (I saw a hen with poults on tuesday) so it's been a bit of a challenge. Beefan got it done today using his Ruger 20ga O/U shooting Federal Heavy Shot.
Stats on the gobbler- 22lbs., 9 1/2" beard and 7/8" spurs. Probably a three year old or a strong 2 year old. Nice bird!
