Does anyone nowadays truly doubt the fact of two distinct gun markets coexisting? One of traditional limited geographic exposure and the other of "crap shoot" nationwide gun market exposure with international meeting of such guns and "monied folk" potential." The ever decreasing gun shops/shows portending nationwide exposure and great potential for uncommonly rare guns and ones of great condition. "Marketing artist hype and con men opportunities." The real consistent winners are, of course, the Internet auction services themselves with exorbitant fees for factually little efforts!
Personally, re such auctions; never went 'there' or did 'that'. My only exposure, the Gun Forums postulating incredible sale prices as viewing typically decent guns at exorbitant prices. 'If' to play in such marketplaces, the only way to win is set your own price parameters and play typically unfortunate odds. Bidding wars reflect a game of potential to be seduced into playing. Best not to go there or play such game. Next best, to be of strong resolution not to engage in bidding wars lest the disaster of "WINNING!"
Just my take
Good fortune to abide!
