I do not know if anyone started a thread dedicated to Dale's knives.
I do know , though, the current knives he's biulding are a lot different than his knives when I first met him,I mean it in a good way
This is a kitchen cutter/butcher,all around aggressive recurve cutter
A beatiful heavy duty fillet with ivory micarta
Post 'em if you're lucky to own one!
Dale I nabbed that Ivory fillet after all. Can't wait.
It has done a couple deer in short order too, love that knife!
Here is my Slim Hunter that Dale and I came up with. Specs are Elmax, Green/Black Micarta scales with Red Liners. Awesome knife feels and balances perfect. Dale is a great guy and will make you happy.
Nice looking fillet. Bet you can get some work done with it.
Vince, I got that Dale's fillet that you have pictured. I wanted it for a boning-butchering knife, since Dale told me it was stiff, it is perfect for the intended job. Thanks both of ya.
Good deal Woodson. Hope you enjoy it and wear it out from use.
Dale
Here is my first from Dale can't wait for the email from him that he is ready to start the next one.
Ed
Couple of hunters I finished a while back out of Axis for a guy and his son.
matched pair in natural micarta
Natural Canvas Micarta Brisket Carver
love the carver & the red & blue scaled blade.--cranky72
I never saw axis like that. I need some!
Couple of hunters I finished a while back out of Axis for a guy and his son.
Wish I could get more... Very rare and old animal. Probably 1 in 1000 animals will ever have that much texture.
Customer requested a variant of my boot knife with a wider integral guard designed into the scales and also with hollow pins. Here's what we came up with. Kinda like the result.
Dale
That's different. Somewhat reminds me of a single edged Gerber Guardian? Better made for sure.
Here's a new little mini B&T I just finished for a customer. I really like the contrast on the Maple burl on this one.
Dale
Nice looking knife. Nice sheath too.
Customer requested a variant of my boot knife with a wider integral guard designed into the scales and also with hollow pins. Here's what we came up with. Kinda like the result.
Dale
That looks nasty...and I mean it in a good way.
Like the B&T also.
Mini B&T is gorgeous Dale
matched pair in natural micarta
These two knives are available FS in the classifieds

Nice!!!
Cranky72
We cleaned fish for 4 days with this yellow handle Howe knife. Maybe 200lb of fillets. Would steal shave hair this morning when I left. Grind and heat-treat is every thing!
47 lb blue rod and reel big fish of the trip.

Tools of the trade!
That's a nice catfish especially for rod and reel.
Hook came out when it hit the bottom of the boat.
Ohh boy two Menefee's on here. I'm gonna have to do a group buy on chest waders.
Could get nasty. The OPINIONATED one keep's saying his going to join.
Got one of his group buy boot knives, very nicely done.
I'm going to have to get him to make me one of his mini B&T knives in the future.
Dale I got the knives today. Holy smokes I'm proud of you ! You are grinding some wicked stuff. Awesome my friend
Yo,I just got back from dinner,a fine meal.Excellent food. We went to a new Italian restaraunt we never went to. We heard good reviews. So we did not know if appetizers would be too much food, our knowledgeable & friendly waitress suggests,if the entree is too much,we take it home. So we do just that,my wife & I only eat half our dinner. I was going to give my veal to my son he'll be home in a little while. We pass on dessert. We pay. Another waitress we know, who did not wait on us,asked if we tried the cannoli. I say no it is not on the dessert menu. She says oh no it is not but we always have them fresh. So she brings us out asample. It was great. So then we are on our way out & she introduces us to the owner. My wife new people from his town. Walking to the car, I say oh,we forgot our dinners,so my wife goes in. I'm in the car now,got a buzz on. She comes back. Do you know that stupid bitch who suggested to take our dinners home threw the MFin' things out. So my poor wife now has to hear me call this woman a [bleep],a few times. What is wrong here. Is it me or what ? That [bleep] bitch with her phony [bleep] accent better go back to her country,it's not Italy, maybe Bosnia or something. Next time I go in there, and I will because the food was killer,I'm going to ask for the owner to come out & meet his friend Then I'll suggest he makes sure his waitress does not throw our leftovers out. This was no $80. dinner for two,d ouble down on that if we had dessert [bleep] [bleep]
Laughin'. I'd already be in jail.
Laughin'. I'd already be in jail.
You don't know how to play it. Handcuffs for a veal cutlet ? No friggin way. I'll make sure my wife calls her friend to find out when our brilliant waitress is working. Next dinner I know what to expect, see what I'm sayin' ?
Two people,$130. ,the level of service should not be,the waitres saying ,"she did not tell me to wrap the dinners up" Especially after it was herself who suggested to do just that. Bitch had the nerve to argue with my wife
Oh BTW fellas, sorry for venting in my favorite knife sub forum,I do apologize.
I'd like to make a suggestion, tonight is not the night to ask for a blue handled knife instead of red, stag, not bone,oh,leather, not kydex. Anything else,Oh,yeah,a drop point, not a semi skinner. Go to Fort Henry he'll hook you the fugg up,right up yuz azz
No schit...!
LMAO at your posts...!
Yeah so go to the friggin fort for Doziers by the dozen. One problem, they are all, always sold A gallery of stuff you can't have
Okay, so if I hadn't already drank my beer, I would've spewed it all over the keyboard.
That bitch suggested to save half the dinner for lunch tomorrow. That was the conversation as she suggested the $10 a glass beer (it was good) But then she throws the stuff out at the end,and argues with my wife ,to her boss standing there. That poor olive pickin' bastard wanted to cook more friggin' veal right then & there. My wife says, "I can't wait for that!"
All these [bleep] but I have to be the biggest [bleep] to foot the bill for this BS
I say to my wife, next time get a comp for a dinner, yes dear, two half dinners in their garbage = one dinner off my next bill
Lol Vince is drunk posting
Not drunk,its veal road rage
Don't stop...this is awesome.
I been there.
You can't go back the bitch will spit in your veal. [grins]
To top it off I was only thinking of my son,to give him a dinner when he decided to show up after out on safari. Nice life I afford that spoiled [bleep].
Next time I'm stuffing my fat [bleep] face right there, and getting dessert too. Maybe puke, too, projectile right at other patrons
You can't go back the bitch will spit in your veal. [grins]
This sauce tastes funny, like faux Italian,Bosnian spit
Come on Vince, tell us how you really feel!
Randy
Your killin me.
Pound a couple shots before you go next time.......that will be epic.
Come on Vince, tell us how you really feel!
Randy
I'm contemplating lunch there tomorrow . I'll tell them, nice n loud ,why I'm here, how I have no lunch, and why, too. I'll fill my pockets with African blackwood dust, from an 800 grit belt. Casually & discretely shake that filthy fine shcit everywhere
On my wifes plate was scallops as big as lolli pops & shrimp, too. That idiot bitch waitress. What a phony dumb dope
African Blackwood Dust their ass, that's classic
Thought this a good'a place as any. Been meaning to say something and got to use it a bit more lately so here goes. I really like this Howe Mtn knife as shown here in Vince's original ad back in May 2012. Blade shape is as perfect for deer as I can imagine. Just a treat to use, something about the way it lays down and slides between the layers... It's 1/8" CPM S35VN with ironwood scales and has become a valued possession well beyond the dollars paid. Thanks Dale, and Vince too...
Thanks always appreciate hearing that they are being put to good use.
Dale
Here's a couple I just finished up...
Dale those look awesome
I have the same two on order with you except with orange scales
Looking at these makes me anxious to get them
Good job!!!!!!!!!!
I have the same two on order with you except with orange scales
Do you mind if I cut line and Dale builds mine first?
dammit, guys.....I'm in line now, too. Quit tryin' to cut in.
Dale Charges?
I am in a quaint out of state city right now, about to head down to what sounds like a good BBQ joint. I do not plan to leave leftovers.
I'd also like to say, I have a knife fs that you fella's have been bumping my thread all day Thank you all.
It has INSANE , cf scales, tapered tang and boring ss. No need to wax the blade.
How you doing Dale ?
Vince you know there is no BBQ until you come to Oklahoma or Texas.
I do , and some day hope to
Couple of quick shots of some I'm just finishing out. Photos are crappy, but I wanted to get a quick picture or two of these posted. Top 2 are one offs that I only do for friends and family. First one is a recurve carver and the second is a similar recurve fillet. They look kinda neat but are a little bit of a bitch to sharpen unless you know what you're doing so only go to people I know will be able to keep 'em up. Next ones are various blades I just finished out. A new Lite hunter style and a couple of hunters and a skinner. Pictures don't do 'em justice but I'm heading out for week and wanted to get at least some kinda picture of them up before I left. Let me know what ya think.
Dale
spacey grinds dale--lots of work---cranky72
Digging the skinner 3rd from bottom. Can't tell on the handle. Kinda looks like ram horn. I shutter thinking about a recurve grind, awesome. Great knives.
A couple of better pictures of some of these...
Exhibition Box Elder Burl (Stabilized)
Orange G10
Ram's Horn
Ironwood
Really like the top and bottom knives. Well done.
I got to meet Mr Howe this week and examine a few of his knives up close and personal. He is a true craftsman. That ram horn skinner made me weak at the knees. Nice guy, enjoyed the visit, my kind of people.
Thanks Pard. Good luck with the pheasants.
I recently got to handle these knives personally, and as nice as they are in the pictures, they're even nicer in person. The rams horn skinner is especially nice. The horn is translucent to some degree when finished out as nice as Dale finishes it, and on the edges where the red liners are...that red seems to just go into the scales there and looks real dayum cool...! I'll say that the finish on the blades was also very, very nice. Besides the persistence and determination that Dale's shown in perfecting his craft of knife making...which is certainly producing some fine examples...he's also learning many things firsthand from Rick Menefee. And you'd be hard pressed to find a better person to teach one about making knives than him.
Thanks Pard. Good luck with the pheasants.
Fri am 6 deg. sunny high of 28. hunting was awesome. 3 hours 6 hunters 32 birds.
Dale makes some nice knives and as you said he goes to a great source to get help. Last group I saw didn't need much .
Fantastic, I still have a week spot for ram horn with orange liners. You got all 3 of these rockin'.
looks like you cleaned up on the pheasants. I hear they eat pretty good.
Those three above look real good. That rams horn really finishes out nice.
Nice.....
I'm glad to see all these leaving the shop.
'cause that means mine are getting further up the list.....grin
slg888, that's a cool knife. I like it...!
Whitetail fajitas tonight
Looks good.
Did your kiddo shoot her a whitetail...?
That looks real good. Very nice detail work...!
Thanks, getting the left/right alignment with the multiple layered liners and the angle cuts was more of a trick that I thought it was going to be until Rick showed me how to lay it out. First one I did wasn't perfect, but I think I've got it pretty well figured out. Still a royal PITA. Amazing how much complexity it adds to building the knife, but it sure does look nice when finished. Adding the bottom bolster is 10 times more complicated with the angle cuts. Definitely worth the effort on the end result, but drilling the holes and aligning everything takes some planning to make it work.
Dale
The complexity that goes into making these knives that you fellas do is a lot more than most folks would think. The little things (and there are many) do make a difference. I'm impressed tremendously by the craftsmanship you fellas demonstrate.
Sheesh. How is poor Dale gonna sell any knives with all these dainty pics? Menefee is the only one gettin' bloody!
'Flave and mini-'flave's blades.
Travis
Dale has figured how to make hand friendly handles

Blood sure helps show that nice jigging work.
Does look good Dale. Keep them going.
Blood sure helps show that nice jigging work.
We like 'em.
And a 12 year old having one of your blades is a testament. Believe me.
TRavis
Dale was he sharpeing when he had the accident.

Going into deer season my son's was about as sharp as a spoon. No idea what he was using it for but it was shaving hair again in less than five minutes.
Travis

this is a nice pattern
I like spear point patterns. Don't seem to get much call for 'em, but I've always liked 'em.
I like spear point patterns. Don't seem to get much call for 'em, but I've always liked 'em.
Morning Dale. I like a spear too, buddy. But I'm on a new quest, after seeing here on this forum what others are buying,I'm now interested in purchasing over 100 drop point hunters, all similar to each other. But different handle scales & blade lengths.
Then after exhausting my funds because for sure, there are more knives in the World than most have funds for,I'll have compiled one big freaking mundane pile O blades.
NOT

NOT And Dale, you have a real nice diverse line up on your site. Hat's off to you.
Guys just in case you need more than the good ol drop point, consider a knife from Dale. IMO he is doing fantastic work for a very modest asking price for a custom hand built knife
Awesome blade!
Oooh...those grinds and swedges look wicked...!
Awesome blade!
I like this.
^^^ That is a good looking knife. The swedge really sets it off.
That pattern would work for me.
Small B&T with Exhibition stabilized Rosewood. It has some of the best Ironwood I've seen in a long time.
So, what is it, really?
Whenever you get mine done, I'ma gonna take a pic of them on a little speckled hide, more befitting of their size/use......
oops, sorry bout that, it's rosewood.
Got ahead of myself. (Fixed it now)
I think those three pins lined up like that looks real good. Nice knife...cool ergonomics.
I like the pins too Nice knife Dale !
Nice knife! Still love that axis skin too.
great small knife dale--certainly large enough for texas deer. cranky72
Those look real good Dale.
look like little broadheads to me.
I really like 'em in person. make for a sweet little EDC pattern.
Those are cute as hell. Whats the AOL. Look smaller than the 3 finger.
yeah, they're little bitty. 4 3/4" OAL. really feel handy in hand though. Blade is only about 2".
Good solution for all those little short pieces left of.the end of the bar.
Hey, put that kydex press to use. That would be awesome.
Those would be handy as a front pocket.
Most people don't know. Dale is stabilizing wood. It's turning out very nice with little penetration. Some of the best - I have used. I hear he gives price break after 5 lbs
good to see we're getting closer....grin
Saw the wood at Ricks. Looks as good as any I have seen .Will be getting in touch Dale.
Dale stabilized some block for me. Turned out very impressive. Those burls and spalted blocks that polish out with good patterns and colors should hence forth be known as WOODIES.
Oh, now you guys say something. Just sent 20 pounds to k & g.
Laughin', next time you want some dome let me know, happy to help out if ya need some done.
Dale
Awesome knife. You need to clean your fingernails. LOL
damned leather dye.
damned leather dye.
Boogers
"boogers" now that is really funny. kudos to atkerson cranky72
hell I thought boogers were assumed
Nice knife and pretty wood. Did you do the file work, if so can I see it? Huh, can I, can I?
Dale has been on a diet lately eating a special blend of knife maker wheaties.
You oughta be a 'hand' model. Very photogenic...!
laughin', 'bout the only thing photogenic on me I can tell ya.
very pretty dale. cranky72
It won't take long to sell that knife.
Just got a PM from some guy in Texas that wants to send me these, this week sometime.
[
can't wait to get them in hand....Thanks, Dale.Don
Those are beauties
Congrats on some fine knives
I know you'll put them to use
Thanks, brad. I hope you get yours soon.
Well now that yours are done it moves me closer to top of line
Love the scales you used for these
Good looking knives, love the handles, congrats.
Love the blade profile. Group buy?
Love the blade profile. Group buy?
Oh yeah!
If I offered up a group buy there would be more than a few customers that would be lookin' to have my head on a stick as I'm way behind on orders.
I'm calling that pattern the Huntsman as Don and I created it based on his design. Looks like it's going to be a dandy small game skinner but I suspect he wasn't exactly guessing when he sent me the pattern he had in mind to start with.
Dale
If fur was still good, one of them'uns would come in handy this morning.....
Damn, what's all that white stuff I got maters and peppers growin' here.
Damn, what's all that white stuff I got maters and peppers growin' here.
Dale, no snow on "Howe Mtn. " ?

Dayum.......I'm immortalized......

Dale
Great name for it.
You know those folks waiting in line would be just fine with a group buy if you let them in on it.
Got 'em....
All my fake Ivory in one pic....swapped the black cord lanyards to desert.
Layed the iron to one sheath.
opened up the choils...
somebody fergot the jimping......grin
no biggie. I'm real happy with them, anyhoo.
Brand on the sheath looks great.
Just point them at a yote and he'll jump outta his skin and hand it to ya. Hey Dale, 1\4" stainless corby rivets?
You' d need an anvil and a hammer to beat those scales off.
I don't like to rely on glue if I can avoid it.
I try to use corby rivets on every thing that will permit. Jantz even has some 5/32 heads rhat will bolt up.thru an 1/8 hole
gallery shot.....
Love all the colors in that photo
Huntsman22 kills more schit than anybody I know. Rabbits, badgers, porcupines, coyotes...whatever. Lots of trigger time, lots of killin', and lots of knife work. He puts his stuff to work...! Good for you man...Love it...!
Love all the colors in that photo
Well then, how 'bouts dis'un?
My last duck....sniff Still have 2 pet turkeys and a few fez and chunkars left.
Missed your calling as a photographer. Those are fantastic.
next time I breast a buncha birds, I'll get another pic for ya. And next winter I'll stick it in some coyotes.....
That thing looks fantastic. Love the design. I love giraffe bone too. The sheath is sweet. I think a knife like that could see a lot of use.
very nice piece of work Dale.
love that bone ; blade looks like a worker. cranky72
Awesome----
Mine should look something like this except Orange ----
Can't wait ---- yeeaaahh
Thanks
Thanks again Dale. Can't wait.
That is one awesome looking knife, nice job.
I should have known that was for Chris! Use it in good health!
You hadta know it was Chris and finding a set of Westinghouse that thick to contour like that was nothing short of a miracle.
Man I like this knife...
Wish it was mine.
Like the jigging
Man I like this knife...
Wish it was mine.
Another customer knife I just finished...
Looks nice. What are the specs on it?
Elmax Stainless with Blue G10 and white liners... 11 1/8" OAL about a 6" blade
TOOOOOO COOOOOOL. I like.
that's a hell of a grinding project. great job. cranky72
Just finished up and I really like this one - Headed to Oklahoma
Light Hunter/Elmax/Contoured Orange and Black/Tapered Tang/Jimped/Inlaid Parsons w/Snake
Awesome --- anxiously waiting for arrival --- thanks
Nice knife and a super sheath from Larry.
Dale why did you have post that last one, must resist the temptation must resist...
Made it today --- yeaahhhh
Very impressive --- once again exceeded expectations ---
Pictures don't show how nice this REALLY is
ThankYou
I like the last blue one. Looks very hand friendly too.
Finishing up a few...
Second from left --
Orange handle ----
Pick of litter ---
Good job -- thanks for pix --
Thx
I like the one far left on the carpet swatch. Tanto?
Also, one in the back above the cleaver, and to the right of the sheath looks like a guy could almost use 1-1/2 hands.
Interesting!
Best,
GWB
Yeah, tanto on the left. The stuff on the right and top is a small portion of the new stuff yet to be heat treated. Blades on the left are mostly customer orders waiting to be finished. One on the top might could be a two handed style somethin or other.
Here's another new one I just finished up for a customer. I like the wood on this one. It's spalted Tamarind. Really nice figure.
OAL 8 1/8"
Blade 3 7/8"
Spalted Tamarind/Red Liners
Is the shortest blade in the group pic your regular B&T or the 80% B&T?
That's the small one. I have a larger version that I do as well, although most folks seem to prefer the small one.
Very Very nice ----
Your sheath or parson???
Thx
Customer is building the sheath on the spalted.
I like the small orange B&T
Maple looks to be good stuff. Wish I had a bucket full
Just finished up and I really like this one - Headed to Oklahoma
Light Hunter/Elmax/Contoured Orange and Black/Tapered Tang/Jimped/Inlaid Parsons w/Snake
I like them all. But I think this pattern, in particular, is a real winner. Very nice work Dale.....
I need to order a few of those.
Another new one I just finished...
Dale is that another new profile ? Looks great
Yeah, another new one. Haven't decided if it will become a permanent addition, but I kinda like it.
Dale
Yeah, another new one. Haven't decided if it will become a permanent addition, but I kinda like it.
Dale
Looks great I see a little something different in the tip belly ?
I think just the angle of the picture.
You are putting out some very nice work Dale. Lookin great. If you could, post up a pic or three of the "two handed knife" when it's done. I'm very interested in something like that. Thanks for the great pics man.
Reno
Few big pieces in the works lately.
Dale
Dale they look great & massive. The cleaver looks amazing Nice work, keep it up
the one near the middle with the black micarta scales looks like a guy could grab with two hands.
Good stuff.
Best,
GWB
Biggest problem with that one is that if a guys wears it in the sheath on his belt he may trip over it.
Biggest problem with that one is that if a guys wears it in the sheath on his belt he may trip over it.
so is that your version of a "neck knife"? LOL
GWB
The Skinner and the Fighter are incredible . . . what kind of scales will grace the bottom blade?
Awesome work.
Frm
Fighter might get something cool like rams horn.
Dale
Biggest problem with that one is that if a guys wears it in the sheath on his belt he may trip over it.
so is that your version of a "neck knife"? LOL
GWB
Could wear it for a Necktie at formal affairs.
Could wear it for a Necktie at formal affairs.
I typically wear a bow tie when formal attire is called for,
but Black micarta does go well in a formal setting.

With a fine White hat like the one pictured, a string tie might be in order.
The two handed one is very sweet!! I really like it a lot. A guy could use the crap outta that one.
Reno
Finished a couple of new ones recently
Here's a little broadhead pattern with a 9" cleaver for size reference.
These are a new model I'm calling the GI Drop Point
One is Exhibition Spalted Tamarind and the other is Blue G10
Very nice I like the new design.
Beautiful work Dale!
twofish
A few I just finished out...
Nice hunters. Those big knives look really great. Scary !!!
I like that center bolstered one.
Nice Dale.
2nd from the right looks like some really nice wood....
Nice Dale.
2nd from the right looks like some really nice wood....
+1
Do like that!!
Best,
GWB
Good lookin pile of metal.
Thanks. Both the big ones are cocobolo, second from the right has a home...
Just finished this cleaver up to give to my son for Christmas to add to his set. Will go with the Carving Knife and Fork and Steak Knife set I built him for Graduation.
Brazilian Rosewood. 9" blade and 5" handle. I think it came out pretty good. Didn't bother to try to get a picture without the mirror finish reflections as it was just too much hassle.
Dale
That is one awesome big ass cleaver. A hlluva a lotta polishin pn that one. Nicley done.
Thanks. Last one of those I'm likely to make. Way too much work to finish those big boys out.
Dale
Very nice looking work Dale!
I am sure your son will be delighted with the addition.
twofish
A few new ones I'm just finishing up.
Dale,
PM'd you about the 3rd knife from the right. Beautiful set.
yup'
and his stuff justs gets better n' better.
JAPPF,
GWB
Those look good Dale. Those bigguns would be good in the kitchen. That stag hunter looks exceptional.
Thanks Guys The 4 big ones are my butcher pattern so originally intended for the Kitchen. Seems a lot of guys cross them over and use 'em in the field as camp knives or large skinners. I think they're really comfortable in hand. 3 of those are headed to Alaska. The one that looks like Stag is really Spalted Tamarind. Lots of color in that one.
Dale....really like the butcher pattern. I just ordered some 1-1/2" wide stock for a big kitchen knife on my to do list. Gotta say, I am a bit intimidated, that wide stock isn't cheap and I've never made anything of that size.....Jeff
Took me a lot of practice to grind those long wide ones on the big wheel, but I'm a slow learner. Menefee makes it look easy. They do come out really sweet with a hollow grind on the 14" wheel once you get the hang of it. Go a little slow at first and I'm sure you'll do fine. When ground right, they'll cut like a straight razor.
Dale does great work and is a super guy to deal with.
But you all know that.
twofish
Variety is the spice of life... I can't stand making the same knife over and over... This is the latest batch I'm just finishing up. I especially like the one in the middle, it's my first attempt at dying Camel bone myself and I think it came out well. The Tanto next to it is commercially dyed Buffalo bone.
Looking good Dale , as usual. Time to reload my site I'm down to only one on there.
That bone does look good.
Here's a couple Slim hunters I finished up for a customer recently. 154 with tapered tangs.
Those are sweet!
Bet he is jazzed.
Mighty fine!
GWB
Nice design and look. Thanks
Nice knife, like a pack of BIG RED!
I used one of these Howe knives to take apart maybe 50 fish in the last few days. Striper's and blue's. Strickland used one to cut bait. He's the master baiter. All worked flawless.
Dale's knives have real good grinds on them, they are cutters. I have three ready to ship on my site. Dale is making a really great knife for a modest price, just a great value from a real good guy. Safe & Happy Fourth All

Love to see 'em being used and you and Dennis sure put 'em to the test...
Been in Wyoming for the last couple of weeks. Just came in from the trout stream again. Caught some really pretty rainbows. water behind the house is tough for browns, so we went up to a lake drainage for some rainbow action and tore 'em up.
pix or it diddddddn't happen. LOL
Hope you had a ball,
glad u made it back safe.
Did your guy like the knife you made him?
Best,
GWB
actually still here, have a little wireless box that lets me use internet via cell service so I can hook up the laptop once in a while for work as need be. I am avoiding it like the plague.
And it didn't happen cause I was too busy having fun to bother to take pictures.
Guy loved the knife. He had never seen anything like it and was in disbelief that I had built it all from scratch. Said he couldn't wait to take an elk apart this fall with it. I suspect the house will be well guarded here abouts.
A few new ones in progress including a coupla new patterns...
What's t he 2nd to the left?
I guess the knives on each side of the big knife are same. Looks great. Really like the big knife too!
That's a new pattern. I really like that one it's sort of a slim hunter, B&T cross.
Dale
A few new ones in progress including a coupla new patterns...
Looking great Dale !
What is the first one on the left Dale ? Some kind of Drop Point ?
A few new ones in progress including a coupla new patterns...
That's my #1 drop point pattern.
Dale excels at these larger knives
It would if it was stickin' out of a dead hog.
Thanks for the comments. I think GW was off huntin' somewhere...
You've got a nice sweep to the blade and the handle looks great.
Hi,
What are the specification of the third from the left? VERY nice all around knife!!!
Thank you!
PH
That one is a pretty large knife. It's 12 1/4" with a 7 1/4" blade. It's black paper micarta with hand laid spacers of alternating black and yellow g10. That specific knife was built out of Elmax and is one I set aside for my son. I need to send it Larry Parsons for one of his special custom sheaths.
Here's a pretty good variety of blades in the works for customers at the moment...
I likey the lime green one, i have one in blue g-10 and its a great pattern.
I like it too. Also like the middle one. All look very nice.
I'm kinda partial to the reversed swayback pattern. It's a takeoff of a traditional Tony pattern that is larger and with a reversed handle design. It's about the most comfortable potato peeler you could ask for.
I bet I would too if I tried one.
just don't get caught peelin' taters or the wommin folks'll start expectin' it.
I'm kinda diggin that olive micarta skinner.
It would if it was stickin' out of a dead hog.
10/4 on that!!!!!!!!
But they are not always stickin in hogflesh........
or perforating porkers......
sometimes they are laying on top.
(latest from Dale, BTW)
JAPPFT,
GWB
PS: Nice crop o' new stuff Dale. Do like the sway-backs.
Buncha new ones just getting finished up. One in the middle is officially called the "broadhead" but my son saw it and called it a prison shank...
The orange looks very familiar. I think I have one just like it.
Green is sweet also.
I have a question, I'll pm you.
Dave
New pattern from Dale is a winner....
Fantastic picture. Congrats on the bull. my favorite way to see a knife.
Latest stuff I've been working on... Really like working with the camel bone. Jigging came out pretty nice

That giant red filet is mine!!
Thanks Dale!!
Great knives
Most people may not know Dale is famous!!!!!
glad I knew him before his head swelled.....
What pattern is the one Tanner posted above?
I like that a lot.
twofish
hell Don, I'll still buy coffee.
The one Tanner posted is a #9. Kind of a crossover between a light hunter and a Bird and Trout.
looks good, great action pics.
257 Wby mag in the lungs, 100 gr hornady interloks...
A few I'm finishing up...
Dale
Those look nice. Good looking work...
I like the looks of the Fare East knife.
Dale it's nice to see your improvement from last year. Not just a step a big jump.
Got another one of dales gems yesterday, chunked up some Idaho buck meat with er, broke the camp chef, pressure cookers, jars, garlic, and whiskey out, perty good day all in all.... Love the Howe mtn knives!! Getcha some.... Grin
Grinding a few blades over the holidays...
I see two boners that look pretty awesome! Hoping some good luck will come my way soon, and the will head to Katy, TX
Here's my new one Dale made for me. I've had it now for about a month or so. Haven't had a chance to cut anything with it yet, though. Dale made the handle length a little longer for comfort. Material is Micarta, which I love. The blade is a little longer too. I wanted something just a WEE bit bigger. Perfect!
Now that Dale is famous, I guess I'd better order another ASAP. I like this knife mucho; clean, simple and beautifully crafted.
Bob
that's a sweet one for sure.
Good for you!
Best,
GWB
I like that too....
Got 2 on order, plans for others.maybe I'll start bitching bout Dales wares, so I don't have to wait as long.... grin...

RGK,
What are the dimensions on your knife and does it have a pattern name? Beautiful knife.
Congratulations.
Frank
A few I'm finishing up...
Dale
Dale,
What pattern are the two knives on the left? Beautiful set of knives.
Frank
Those are basically my #8 pattern. They were made just slightly larger that the #8 pattern, but in effect the same pattern otherwise.
Dale
RGK,
What are the dimensions on your knife and does it have a pattern name? Beautiful knife.
Congratulations.
Frank
Hi Frank
Dale would be the best source on that. I think he made it a little bit longer in the handle for my large paws. The group of knives you asked about (you mentioned the left 2) have my knife in them. It's the one on the far left.
I'm thinking of having Dale make me another just like it, in camelbone, for photos and display.
Bob
Here's one that I like...Dale is making me something similar in either camelbone or some kind of wood maybe. I'm thinking ironwood or cocobolo. I left it up to Dale.
Bob
RGK,
Beauty. Do you know what pattern it is?
Frank

Beauty. Do you know what pattern it is?
Frank
Not sure...but I know it's a regular in the line-up. Perfect size for 90% of your hunting knife needs.
Bob
That one is the #1, it's just fancied up with some really high end Camel bone scales
Three new ones just being finished out. Another prototype boning knife pattern and a pair of Huntman models One in Red with black liners and One in Black with red liners.
Is the black with red liners available?
Man those are awesome. Can't wait to put them to work.
These are all for customer orders.
What are the dimensions on the prototype boning knife? Looks like it'd put a whitetail in a backpack pretty quick.
9 7/8 OAL with a 5" blade
Like a sore pecker,
Hard to beat!!
Grog, meat(jalepeno cheese smoked links) and a Dale Howe Tanto.
Ya'
GWB
I really like the looks of those Huntsmans.
Another boner in green canvas
Very cool Dale. I like it!

Well, I couldn't take it any longer and after a few conversations with Dale, I ordered one of his Tanto's! LOL
Coupla new ones...
A little green jigged camel bone... This stuff is just flat out pretty.
My favorite Howe, root beer dyed, jigged camel bone, stupid sharp, super badass blade, performing kitchen duties on vacation ....
Judman,
What pattern is that?
Beautiful knife.
Congratulations.
Frank
Frank sorry bud, but I think it's a med drop pt hunter?? I bought this one and another I. Green micarta with yellow spacers from Vince , which btw is a hellava guy to deal with!! Any how the green one went to a good pard for Christmas ... Order one up, you won't regret it!
Judman,
Already have my name on the list but am a few months out. Trying to make a final decision on a pattern. What's the blade length and overall on yours?
Thanks.
Frank
Sorry again frank, still on vacation, don't have access to a tape. Maybe Dale or Vince can chime in?
No hurry, if you'd measure it for me when you have the opportunity I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
Beautiful knife.
Enjoy your vacation.
10-4 bud. Here's another one I like well, light hunter paired up with the Wyoming skinner. I've ordered 3 light hunters from Dale, gave one to a pard, and one to my boy, then the one in the combo, great pattern , everyone is extremely happy with em. All elmax, orange micarta, and mosaic pins...
If you want a dedicated skinner, that Wyoming skinner can't be beat. Skun 2 rams out the other day, sumbitch is filthy!!....
That pattern just works.........effortlessly!
Dale's knives are awesome.
Dale should name a model in honor of judmans pics. He could call it the 'mutton buster'......
I do like the one named after you, night be a couple/few in the near future...
That pattern just works.........effortlessly!
Dale's knives are awesome.
It does, it's almost stupid.....
This chile' can't always be killin' and skinnin'
But he can still be playin' with pork n' blades.
Ya'
GWB
GW looks like you're set for St. Pat's coming up... Have a great game today fella's.
Zulu/carbon fiber, bourbon is good too...
A few new ones getting finished up...
Nice! I see two of mine... Can hardly wait to get my hands on that Light Hunter and Brisket Carver.
A new fillet I'm just finishing up...
Looks like a real nice design for its intended purpose. Nice work.
A little something outa my norm. Customer asked for a pattern a little similar to a sharp finger sorta design.

Nah'
no mistaking that lanyard.
Ya'
That knife pops!
Good stuff!
GWB
PS: No industrial quality sheath?????
Sheath will be in the works depending on the customer's request. Waiting to see exactly what style he wants but I doubt it will be dainty...
Very nice, and sized just right. Handy little skinner.
Oh Schitt I'm liking that, save that pattern.. Grin
Dale that is an outstanding knife. You're really putting out some nice knives!
Now when are you coming back to Menefees to start on some folders??
Dale I keep coming back to ogle that sharp finger!
Ya I chatted with him about it yesterday too, I think it's a badass pattern....
Thanks guys appreciate the compliments

Nicer than any sharp finger!
That's a great design
Dale you should make a two pack with that. Your really starting to see lines.
A few new ones getting finished up...
Dale,
tell me about the one on the bottom in the photo above!
I do like that one in particular.
Best,
GWB
Bottom one is elmax and dyed box elder burl. Not one of my normal patterns. That one is really sweet in hand.
4th one down is making my knees weak...
Bob
They all looking Good! likeing the lines of the two on the bottom!
Diggin that ramhorn.... I'll have to think of a build for us... as always, nice work brother......
Gave a pard one of Dales hunters for Christmas last year, smoked a cow with his bow the other day.
One of dales light hunters doin bidness today.. those blades he sends to Washington are dust collectors.... grin
Bull looks like he's been cross bred with a horse...
Here's a new one I just finished up for a customer... Proto with a nice little drop point Has purple grey Camel bone scales that came out nice
I like that pattern and scales!! Nice
I can see all the pictures on this thread except Dale's. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.
Frank
Don't know what happened but can see his pictures now. Glad for that.
I'm proud of you Dale. You have done and doing well.
Here's my latest from Howe Mountain. Notice the gorgeous lefty sheath; love the dark color. He made exactly the knife and sheath that I wanted; this one makes #3 from Dale. Thinking about #4...
Bob
Howe mtn combo gettin er done again. That elmax is for real!! Thanks Dale
Making meat with the Howe mtn boner, I love this blade, cut bait, fillet fish, bone bucks and bulls....

Looking good Dale Great knives & Pic !!
Damn nice Dale!! That's why your the man, you'll do and do damn nice whatever a customer wants!! Nice work
Thanks for the comments fellas. With the photobucket problems seems like most of my pictures have been displaced, so looks like I'll have to find some time to start migrating to this new option. Never seems to be enough hours in the day. Can't seem to keep up with my day job and my orders let alone be bothered with the latest photobucket schemes. I am still hoping to get up to see my good friends Rick Menefee, Mike Miller and Larry Parsons. I desperately need to learn some new techniques and tell some old lies. Trying to head to Wyoming in October to sneak in an Elk and deer hunt if luck holds.
Dale
That filet knife on the end looks better in person. The sheath deserves its on photo as well. Thanks Dale!
