So something I probably could get from the man himself, but I figure the time he'd spend on the phone with me would be taking away from the time he has to work on someone's knife, and ultimately the longer it'll take to get the one I ordered last fall!

So, my question is this: When I got on the list last fall, there was little we discussed on the blade type and handle material and the like. Am I correct to assume that when my time comes closer, I will here from Mr Ingrams as to what pattern/steel/handles/pins I want? Approximately how far from production does he contact you if this is the case?
It took me 14 months to get my two knives and it was about two months before that he asked for final confirmation.
Ok, perfect. Just making sure I'll be able to change my blade design. I was leaning towards a semi-skinner and now I'm thinking a B&T.
I would send Mr. Ingram an email and ask for a update on your timeline and let him know your build details. Sometimes I have to make several small changes to my build during the email exchange and final build date, due in part to the valuable input from the knife maker and my ever changing ideas.

I did just that. Heard back early this AM from him with confirmation of my delivery date for late this year and some notation changes on my requests.
