I am currently building a 405 Win Rolling Block rifle using a heavy Douglas Barrel 1:14 twist 26"
As a lifelong reloader and accuracy seeker and Bullet caster , I'm curious as to what bullets , Molds , and bullet weights work the best ?
I am seeing load data for 225 gr. lead, 300 gr. bullets primarily, and some 400 gr. loads thanks to BallisticBryan ! Seems to be nothing in the 250-275 gr range Bullets.
I have 50 rounds loaded with 300 grain Hornady Jacketed bullets, I have some antique ammo with silver RN bullets, and I have some cases to load.
Bullet Molds don't seem to be readily available for the 405, and the price for cast Bullets was kinda high in my opinion, as I would rather cast my own.
Any advice or suggestions from you guys would be appreciated.
