Anybody know / guess how many Heavy Duck Guns were made?

Thanks. I found one last year and snapped it up.
I had never seen one except pics, but I knew what it was and grabbed it in a heartbeat.
Wonder what amazing tales that old (built 1950) girl could tell us.

Lovely one. With heavy duck loads, the extra weight is a good trade-off, unless you're carrying it through a marsh to the blind.

The weight is almost unbelievable. There was one on the rack at the LGS a month or so ago marked $599, I picked it up and put it back and thought about how little I'd enjoy carrying it around.

The weight is almost unbelievable. There was one on the rack at the LGS a month or so ago marked $599, I picked it up and put it back and thought about how little I'd enjoy carrying it around. This is mine empty , 30" full , vent rib and still has the factory lead weight in the stock.

I have one with the solid rib. I like it very much and used to shoot it often for birds, lately, not so much.. I need to get it out and give it a run.
