I like 'em both - as long as they're NH-made...

Most of the crf guns were 7 digit NH guns. A few were BACO.

I believe all of the Classic Stainless and the XTR rifles were made in NH. There were other rifles that were made by FN in South Carolina.

It's great that we all have our own preferences. It seems like all my old buddies were talking up lightweight rifles, and smaller cartridges. I was in the magnum phase of life then, now as I get older, I see the lighter rifles as very nice. Especially after packing them on elk hunts, where the rifle is in hand 99% of the time. I'll still hunt my m1917 sporters, because they fit me so damn well, and they are like an extension of my arm, but I love the lighter rifles, like my fwt's and Tikkas. You'll eventually get there as well. Enjoy your magnum phase though. Nothing wrong with that either. That way we have guys to sell our magnums and heavier rifles to, when we are ready!!

That is correct. If it says “XTR” or “classic” - it was New Haven.
