That makes me like him even more. I used to scoff at some of the John birch Society stances, but they were right about most things, but just a few decades to early. The same for Joe McCarthy. All we heard from the Left was how terrible he was. I don't agree with some of his tactics, but looking at what is happening in Hollywood, the media, and politics these days, he was right about most things, again, just a few decades too early. The Commies were hiding in plain sight.
