That's interesting Dan, thanks.
I always wondered what types of offenses could get you "struck out" so to speak.

It does seem maybe a bit excessive to celebrate the death of four kids....does it not? I'm not celebrating it. But it comes as no surprise, given the culture they grow up in. They are taught to take what they want with no consequences, hurt who they want, even for entertainment, and not be hurt back. Most of all they are taught to disobey the cops. THAT gets more of them killed than anything, (other than their own peers). The black community should use this without hesitation to educate and enlighten their own culture... But they won't. They will use it as an excuse to "stick it to the system" for personal gain. Wait for it... Fainting in 3 2 1. No fainting. Just marvel at the racial bias sometimes. Tell me your life lacks cultural enrichment without telling me your life lacks cultural enrichment!

When I went to PIT training in 2008 or 2009 we were instructed to not PIT at over 45-50 mph. I bet this will become an issue for the officer or officers involved.

Newberry (where the little thugs were from) is in Alachua County, not Bradford County. It's factual that the Bradford County deputies have crappy cop cars. FHP trooper stopped the fleeing stolen vehicle. All the miscreants were, of course, black. Lots of angst today in the black KaMoonIty in Newberry.

that has not happened here in the 8th Judicial Circuit in like, forever. We have career felons with over a dozen felony convictions being released back into the city on a regular basis. That's one reason we are experiencing a tsunami in crime here.

What kind of name is Jabril Cheevers? Seems like John, Joshua, or Matthew would make your kid more acceptable on a resume. If it were me I would throw away the LaQuantra, Demetarius, Rashaunders, and of course Mohamed.

Ron I doubt it - I saw it done ~ 2-3 weeks ago. Lad stabbed and killed a man at a rest area ~ 15 miles south of Raton, stole his car, and ran south. When he got to Las Vegas, he attempted to evade pursuit, spun through the Love's parking lot, and turned back north. (almost hitting us) Cop coming off the ramp spotted him. They got back on I-25 headed south, with another state cop joining the chase. 27 miles north of town, we were on the service road when they went blowing by, northbound. As soon as they cleared traffic, stater #1 PITed his ass. We stopped, as the flying dirt completely obscured our vision - I couldn't tell where everybody ended up. When the dust settled, the perp climbed out of the side window, dropped to the ground, and surrendered to the 2 cops. Speeds involved were 90 mph plus, AFAICT.

Why did cops need to do a "pit maneuver" when the car was running at 111 mph? especially with it having 4 people in it?
Seems a way over use of force scenario....
If the vehicle was stolen, I'm sure the owner of it, wanted it destroyed when it was 'returned'.
Even if the punks were wanted for what ever, did they need to be killed 'just to get them off the streets'?
I support LE, but this was sorta over the top to say the least.
RIP for the deceased.

Seems a way over use of force scenario.... Seems like if someone was doing 111 mph and running from the cops - allowing them to continue to put bystanders at risk is a bad idea. STOPING the vehicle was the concern so Sue and Dave walking their dog don't turn into street jelly when these youths decide to blow a light at 111 mph or lose control around a turn. Risk to the occupants was outweighed by risk to the public.

I support LE, but this was sorta over the top to say the least. RIP my arse! There was no potential for those 4 thuglets to ever contribute anything meaningful to their community. They'll leave no more innocent victims in their wake, and the taxpayers of Florida won't be stuck with the bill for housing and feeding them. I'd call that a win.

They needed to do a PIT maneuver to stop the car full of thugs in the act of a crime that presented danger to the public. PIT maneuvers at high speeds are not uncommon.
