I have starkey, the only place they help is a conversation in a quiet room.
If you’re in a crowded setting, it’s just a loud garbled sound. If you’re outside it’s a crackling sound from air moving over the microphone…..they just don’t help enough for me to keep them in. They’re more nuisance than aid .
Decades of voting for the lesser of two evils has gotten us just that.....

With your Starkey's the audiologist sets them up in the office based on your hearing test. If you download the app from their website (free) you can make adjustments to suit your surroundings. Also you can add programs for individual needs. I have settings for two different televisions I have and they are different. The app also lets you customize for wind etc. The settings will be different than in the office.

I’ve had Oticon and Starkey. Both work reasonably well for me. Both are expensive, $6000 plus. I am on my second pair of Starkey's. Have the blue tooth version with the app for my iPhone. LOVE THEM ! Expensive, yes. But feel naked with out them now. Telephone calls directly to my hearing aids. GPS driving directions direct to hearing aids. Video audio tracks and church music are wonderful. Pretty much my experience with Starkey. On my first pair the wife’s dog chewed them up, Starkey replaced them. Tried the Costco aids, didn’t like em much and they failed more than once.
