Does anybody know the prices on coyote pelts? (where Im from delivered unskined dropped on da dock)????
Out here A guy gave me a price of $35 for an un-skinned carcus shot behind the ear with a .22 cal rifle.
I would appreciate some feedback on what I should be asking for a prime coyote pelt??
Thank you,

I just bagged a very large coyote that I would say weighs at least 40-45 lbs. Is this considered a large animal?

Those big Montana pales should fetch some good money this year acording to FF&G.
"The very best Montana/Alberta Coyots should move in the 85.00-100.00 range".
Truthfully though,, from my experience with fur buyers,, 35.00 for just "dumping em on the dock" probably isn't that bad of an offer, not having seen the pelt in question. Allot of work goes into putting up fur "correctly", and like the stock market, he's gotta hope the market holds till he sells.
Luck

That is a great offer for around my area...the only guy in choteau buying unskinned coyotes is paying $20-25 if it doesn't have a big hole in it. I got $15 for a pup I killed a couple weeks ago. He is not takin coyotes anymore after jan 1st so I gotta find someone else to buy them soon.

I'd jump on $35, but it sounds like he wants trapped coyotes. 40 plus pounds is a big coyote in my experience in these parts.
I've been getting around $15 and in some cases less for carcass coyotes this year and I've only got one buyer at this point. Hardly worth it, but it's better than just leaving them, I guess?

$35 sounds good to me too! should pay for your gas and delivery to da dock! i used to love hunting them their varmits out in a open wheat field. great fun and it paid for gas and beer money. have to watch them unseen ditiches or you will get a good knot on the head or thrown fron da truck!

If I could get $35 a dog, I'd work a lot harder at it than I do. It would pay for gas that way at least.

Skinned and dried your coyotes should bring a premium. However, you are at the mercy of your buyer if they are on the carcass. In that case $35.00 sounds reasonable. If you chose to skin, flesh, and dry, you could likely make a fair amount more. Maybe even double your money.

$35 is a good price. A local to this area guy only pays about $17 for them. It cost me that much to drag them 40 miles so I leave em.
Did I make you cry......boooo hooo, life goes on.

If I can get a decent cat it makes the drive to drop the dogs off worth it. The last several years we've been getting $5-$15 for coyotes and up to $140 for cats. I've never taken a coon in, but I guess I should ask him what he gets. I've got a couple Boone and Crockett coons that hang around my deer feeders.
