I'm usually on the Savage forum, but here goes. I was given a built 458 with a custom barrel and what I think is a Mauser action, not really sure. Anyways, it's in great shape other than a chip outta the stock be the bolt handle. I will never use this thing and I'm thinking of putting it in the classifieds. Posting pics here isn't happening as I'm on my iPhone and the laptop is at my mother in laws. Not exactly in a hurry to go over there, if ya know what I mean. I have dies for this as well. Anyone feel like giving me a value? Can email pics for someone to post . Thanks

Herstal is a town in Belgium where FN builds rifles.
Gotta narrow it down with more details to get a better value.
Some where between $100 and $10,000 for now.

It looks to me like an older, and possibly well used, FN action that was re-barreled to 458 and dropped in a factory Whitworth stock.
Without a closer inspection it is probably worth little more, and possibly even less depending on the conversion, than a factory Whitworth MKX 458.

The cross bolt for the stock seems very deeply inset. I agree that it's an older action, retubed to a 458 and put into a Whitworth stack.

If it feeds well I'd guess a value would be $400 to $500 or so.
