I'd call it 95% or better with real nice wood. Local shop has one on consignment for $1000 with the proceeds going to the local boy scouts. Is that out of line or about right?

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

All depends on the actual condition and stock. Some had awesome wood. Others, you could find better wood at Home Depot in the 2x4 section. But, from what you described, I'd say so.

yeah, with condition, decent wood and the original rings, it would be a VERY good deal. I have one that I bought from another member here and it cost me more.

Probably the nicest 22LR left hand rifle ever produced.

You won't find one any cheaper unless it is hot and stolen .

Yep. I sold mine on Gunbroker last year, and got $1350 for it, and that was to a dealer.

Mine had factory iron sights, and Kimber scope rings in their original box. Clearly made by Burris. Might have added to its value. I'm just a shooter, not into collector games.

utah, is that butt plate original?

BTW - You bastids are going to make me go take a second look. I wonder if I could use it as a write off seeing how the proceeds go to the BSA?

Buy it... you will NOT regret it and I am sure you can get your money out of it... I know where there is a 223 for sale and am REALLY tempted to go get it. I've seen the left hand 22LRs sell for $1600+ at auction before. Glad I have the one I do and it was only do the the generous support of two campfire members after spending the better part of 6 months looking.
