In recognition of this award, Larry and Brenda Potterfield received an elegant trophy provided by Beretta, presented by Pietro Gussalli Beretta and his wife Gretchen Gussalli Beretta Harnischfeyger .  They also received custom gold and sapphire award pins created by jeweler Madleine Kay.

"This event is about recognizing true heroes of wildlife conservation for the invaluable work they do around the world, and it gives SCI Foundation a forum in which to share our mission and seek support for it," Joseph Hosmer, President of SCI Foundation.
