I'm liking that .358 Win. Smidge heavier contour than a mtn?

Were it me, for "deer hunting and general shooting fun" I'd go .260 or .243. One each if you're able. smile

I agree. I have a 7/08 and 257Roberts. Both are more fun to shoot than the 358 and probably a better choice for deer only. We get moose tags here if the stars are aligned, so the 358 will work well for that too.
