This one in sleepy Northern lower Michigan.
Details are limited, but we're friends with a neighborhood couple of which the husband is a deputy sheriff and K9 handler in the county. The Mrs. of the couple just posted in social media that a friend of her husband's and fellow LEO was shot today and is in the hospital. Sounds like it might have been a traffic stop in involving a stolen car.
I don't know which agency the LEO worked for, but we're pulling for him. Details, if I get any, will follow.
