I have a RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme kit. I got most everything situated and put together. I have punched out and resized a few .280 Rem cases and I'm almost ready to prime them.
The kit came with a hand held priming tool and it has an attachment "priming arm" that is connected to the press.
Which is the better one to use?
I'm not in any sort of rush, so speed isn't an issue at this point. The one on the press seems like it would be a bit slower? I've been using the one on the press with no problems for a long time. I have an arm set up for large primers and another set up for small primers. Just pull the pin and insert the one you need. Works great, but I think most here prefer the hand priming tool...YMMV..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

This one gets almost all the work and dates to the mid 1970s and has good feel when seating the primers. And I never saw the need to upgrade to the newer types. Well Ed, we agree on this one. That's the bench mounted model I mentioned earlier, and it does seat with good feel. Then you must be almost as smart, good looking, funny and modest as I am.

I have two RCBS hand priming tools one set-up for handgun and the other for rifle. I prime while sitting in my recliner watching TV, a large Tupperware container full of unprimed cases on one side and one for primed cases on the other. No back fatigue or boredom, makes a tedious task go fast & easy.

Same as gunswizaard, large rifle, small rifle; simple switch for handgun. Been using my original tool since the 70's, got another in low dollar pig in a poke box of odds and ends.
No fear, no doubt, all in, balls out.
