Cruz isn't an outsider to government, he's an outsider to the establishment, and a conservative. That's something neither Trump or Rubio can say. It's the establishment and media that call Cruz an "outsider". Trump will not beat Rubio. No way.

Cruz will have a sizable number of delegates after Super Tuesday, so what makes you think he would consider dropping out?

And Cruz can't hand off his support to Trump. The second choices for Cruz supporters don't include Trump.

They probably go Paul, Carson,Rubio as far as actual preference is concerned.

The RNC has spent over 22 million on Bush ads.

It's why I said Cruz will likely support Trump moreso than Rubio.

Trump beat Rubio last night and he will certainly do so in NH. Unfortunately, after Iowa going to Cruz after the demographics clearly suggest it should have, Cruz can now no longer beat either Trump or Rubio.

Romney came in 2nd place to Santorum in 2012, right?

Yes, but only after the win was declared for Romney for a week and Santorum as much as resigned from the contest before discovering he had actually won...and he Santorum was broke.

...And Santorum damn sure didn't tell Iowa that he was gonna end ethanol subsidies if elected. Nobody has ever escaped Iowa alive, much less victorious, after doing that.

Cruz isn't perfect, but he isn't a slimeball. That matters to Americans.

I truthfully don't know who Cruz would support. If Trump were to pinky swear on Supreme Court justices, I could see Cruz supporting Trump over Rubio.

The good news from all this is, money doesn't always win the election for crppy candidates. Both Shrill and Shrub 3 prove this point.

Nothing has changed in the race since last Friday. This was all as expected.

NH and SC will show us the main event.

According to MSNBC, Bush spent $14.9 million in Iowa, all coming from Bush's super PAC. (In fact, if one were to consider national ads and money from the campaign, the total would be significantly more.)

That means, the once Republican frontrunner spent $2,884 per Iowa vote.

He's getting very little to replace what he's spending:

Jeb Bush, the one-time presumptive Republican nominee, is facing a very real money crunch. His campaign raised only $7 million in the last three months of last year. Fundraising for his once mammouth Right to Rise super PAC has also dried up.

Without a big surge in New Hampshire next week, Jeb’s campaign will come to an end very soon.

Just goes to show that you cannot buy an election. All that money can accomplish is getting your message out but if it's the wrong message, you still loose.

So what will the RNC do now?

They'll go all in for Rubio.

Rubio might surprise in NH.

Cruz is xfremely well organized and has a ground game that can keep him relevant for a long time .

Trump is a democrat showman.

Of course their favorite was Bush, but they will gladly settle for Rubio.

FLORIDA'S "winner take all " primary is Cruz's biggest obstacle. He MUST take a large portion of Texas' proportionately awarded delegates to offset a probable loss in Fl.

South Carolina is the first ”winner-take-all” primary.

To Ensure Donald Trump’s Defeat?

On Sunday, Breitbart reported that Microsoft would be providing technology for tallying votes in the Iowa caucuses. Given that Microsoft is Rubio’s second-largest campaign contributor, this represents a massive conflict of interest. Other sources claim that the GOP establishment had a deliberate plan to goose Rubio’s vote count.

Anybody ever work with new Microsoft software? Let's just say that I'm not going to attribute Rubio almost beating Trump to a Microsoft conspiracy.

Now, 90 precincts losing or not reporting votes in Iowa could VERY easily be due to Microsoft software. Blue screens everywhere...
