Umm, didn't Remington legitimize the Whelen in '87 offering it in the M700 Classic? Unless I'm missing something, meaning my memory.

Ahh, I'd never heard about it offered as a special order. Learn something new every day.

Anything is possible and supposedly there is a M54 factory chambered in 35 Whelen residing in a Florida collection, but the gun has never been authenticated or photographed. Good luck with your search....

i would even go for a m54 barrel in 270 or 30-06 in factory condition. i have no set desires for this gun. the barrel on my gun has more holes in it than a oil field. even some extra holes in the receiver so the sky is the limit on changes.
