New here to the campfire. Wanted to seek advice on obtaining the most consistent performance from my 280AI. The back-story is I bought a used Browning a-bolt in 280Rem and had a 26" Douglas barrel, chambered in 280AI replace the original.
My question concerns the sequence of events for handloading the cartridge. After fireforming 280 RP brass using COW method and resizing and loading and refiring to get the brass to mimic the chamber Do I :
A.resize, trim, anneal and reload
B.anneal, trim, resize and reload
C.Trim, anneal, resize and reload
My instinct tells me to go with (B), since the heat process involved in annealing may alter an already resized case(??). I am thinking that once I get the procedure down to a system, the brass will require very little attention afterward, since one of the beauties of the Ackleys is very little brass expansion, assuming I don't go hog-wild seeking velocity.

My usual is more like A - except I put 'clean' in before annealing.

That's how I do it too. Seems to make the most sense. But then again, I thought we could count on Comey and the FBI!

That is what I do as well.

Size after annealing, to correct any possible dimensional changes.
