Ha! Is that why my knees crackle every time I stand up? Happy belated birthday John. Don't let the knee thing phase you..............mine have been making noises since my 20's. I don't think you have to start worrying until your body can predict impending storms better than the weather channel.

I've been reading your work for years so in my mind you are still in your late 20s/early 30s. I thought I was too but now I realize I'm within grasp of 70.

Thanks! My knees have been making a little noise since my 20's too, but are still functioning, without surgery, despite being dislocated s few times--my left at least 3, and my right only once, but far more severely. The crackling is just more noticeable now!
It does go away as they warm up, which helps when hunting both birds and big game. Otherwise they'd hear the snap-crackle-pop of my approach....

Thanks. I suspect a lot of us think we're still in our 30's, because that's when most humans become who we're going to be for the rest of our lives, both personally and professionally. If we're lucky, there usually aren't many major changes after that until we get "old"!
