Any use it and what you loading with it????
I use it in both the .22/250 and .220 Swift with 55 grain bullets. It does real well for me.
it is great with the 243 and 55gr NBT!!! HAPPY HUNTING
I use it in .243 , .270 Win. and used to use it in 22-250. Works great. I used to get it for 7 bucks a pound 15 years ago and bought plenty. I also got it in Mil surplus 8 lbs 64 bucks. When it's done I most likely go with something else. Good powder but no big deal neither.
Great results in a .243 with 87gr. VMax.
243, 6mm Rem, 260 Rem, 6.5 x 55, 6.5 x 57, 7/08, 7 x57...
after testing 15 powders in a 6mm Rem, the clear winner was H 414.
that is the most accurate rifle I own..
I use it for a compressed load with 70 gr. bullets in a 222.
I'm told H414 is rebadged W760 and H335 is rebadged W748
I use it to push 75 gr Amaxes from my 9 twist 22-250 AI. I can easily reach 3450 fps and shoot .25 moa. I like it.
I use it in 17 Rem. when loading 30gr. bullets.
165 grain BTSP in the 30.06! Accurate and Deadly!
Used it for years in my .243, works great with 55's and 70 grain B tips. Lots of yotes and crows wished I would have used a different powder...
I use 760 in my 243, 25WSSM, and 30-06. It's great stuff!
I'm told H414 is rebadged W760 and H335 is rebadged W748
You were told partially right and partially wrong. 414 is 760. 335 is NOT 748.
I use it in my 7X57,243,25-06,257Rob and Improved as well as others.
50 gr V-Max or Ballistic Tip with 39 gr in a .22-250
It makes my .250 Savage sing a pretty tune.
It is EXACTLY the same powder as W760 (both made by Hodgdon)
Hodgdon markets both, makes neither.
165 grain BTSP in the 30.06! Accurate and Deadly!
Would you mind sharing your load? I love the Hornady 165gr BTSP in my .30-06, but have been using other powders. Always looking for something better.

I think both are made by Primex Technologies.
They are manufactured by General Dynamics.
Olin used to own the St. Marks, FL, facility where they are manufactured, but spun that asset off in the '90s. It was called Primex at that time, but it wasn't long at all before General Dynamics bought it up. General Dynamics also owns the Canadian facility that manufactures most (but not all) IMR powders.
In any case, they can use the same loading data and require magnum primers for best results, especially in cold weather.
interthem, I think you are wrong again. H414 and WW760 are the same powder but after shooting pounds of it through the chronograph in several different rifle's it shoots much more consistant with lower S.D.'s and E.S. with Fed 210's than Fed 215's in every case. It is temp sensitive being a ball powder but a mag primer does not fix that it only makes it worse.
Sorry just saw this I use 55.5 grains of H414 with Winchester brass and Winchester LG Primers at 3.230. This has worked great in two ADL's I have shot it in.

Got it!
Thanks again,

I use H414 for my 257 roberts and have used it in 270. 6.5x55, 243. It is comparable to 4350 in application. Dingo I am pretty sure you are correct on the 414/760 part but I was under the impression that H335 was faster than 748.
Use it and love it in the .243 with 55gr Nosler Btips and the .30-06 with the 150gr Barnes TTSX
Today, I found a use for my can of H414....
in a 220Swift - gun was a "put-together" Rem700 LA, ADL wood stock and a VSSF barrel. bought it used.
here is my first H414 loading:
and just shot this tonight!
note its 4 shots in the upper left...
Magnum primers really screw up the accuracy of 760 in many cases, you just have to try your combo and see what works.
In 22/250's, 243's I shot Fed 210's. In 243 AI's, I shot CCI250's.
What ever works
I'm told H414 is rebadged W760 and H335 is rebadged W748
H 335 isn't W 748...
I use 52.5 gr H414 with a 75 gr V-max for my .25-06 varmint load. My rifle seems to like that load. Prairie dogs...not so much.
Excellent performer with the 50gr Vmax/22-250. Max or near max load gave me consistent groups in the .4's out of a Broughton HB 700 Rem
