Here is a very nice Savage 99 sn 92253 made in 1909 cal. is 30-30, overall rifle is very clean for a for a 110 plus yr old gun. It sports a working Lyman rear peep sight, the rear receiver blade has another notch on rightside, not sure why. There is a small professedly repaired crack to the buttstock (see pic) and the butt plate has been swapped out and is from a Remington (which fits perfectly) stock hasn’t been altered for it, so should be no problem switching it out for a correct Savage plate. Cartridge counter works, it loads and unloads smoothly. All in all a very nice old school classic.
