On GB ends in 4 hours
they didnt want it for 2650.00 last week either
You guys and your tupperware guns. laugh laugh laugh
I have so many different calibers, I sure don't need to introduce another to the mix. Especially seeing as how I don't reload.

Otherwise, I would be interested.
Big chunk of coin for sure. Fieldcrafts sure have a following.
Not a very good deal on long action

I don’t know, They don’t make these anymore. A sub 6 lbs. 24 inch barrel 25-06 With a great reputation for accuracy…seems pretty cool to me.
Very nice rifle. Looks like no one wanted it at that price. Do you think he's going to go down on the price again? Scope is only worth about $300 at best.
Do you think it would have sold at that price in a short action?
I don't see the big deal on these, you can get a Tikka T3 Light that will shoot just as well if not better and is 6 1/4 lbs. Then if that is still not light enough get an aftermarket stock and it will weigh even less. Or put a custom barrel on a Remington Model 7 and save a butt load of money for other stuff

Depends on which chambering.

There was a 22-250 that sold last week for just under $1900.
A special edition (green stock, black cerakoted) 6.5 threaded brought over 3 grand. Yeah a SA brings more.
And more recently, this one didn’t sell at 2k.

Haven’t been many selling much over $2300 in either configuration.
I have a 6.5 X 55 LONG ACTION 24' barrel that is the moist accurate rifle I've ever owned. Shoots in the 2 and 3's all day long. I wouldn't sell mine for $2450.00. I know all about putting together semi custom rifles, done quite a few. You often spend more than $2400.00 and end up disappointed so down the road it goes. 25 06 IMHO is a rather odd chambering, got one and hardly ever use. I also have a Tikka that I tried to hate, plastic detachable mag, plastic trigger guard, did I say detachable mag, sloppy feeling and loose fitting bolt, but it is starting to grow on me. Doesn't shoot as good as the Fieldcraft. In reality when you start customizing it with a new carbon stock, new SS bottom metal, Steel mags, you are closing in on the price of this Fieldcraft. And I still have that [bleep] 3 round detachable mag. Why is this a good idea? My $.02

Only thing I like better on the Kimbers is the 3 position safety.
This rant shouldn't be in the classifieds but here it is. I never jumped on the fieldcraft bandwagon until recently. Now I understand their following. I got a 6.5cm first from a member here. It shoots everything exceptionally well and to almost the same POI. I was impressed overall with the way it looks, feels and points as well. Then I got a 243 also from here. I like it even better. It has a 21" barrel that is slightly lighter than the 6.5cm. It also shoots everything well and shoots everything to the same POI. I shot 5 or 6 groups of different powder charges and bullets and they could all have been overlayed to a 1" group @100. I have too many lightweight rifles and enjoy tinkering with them. From what I've seen the FC doesn't need anything. Just my review and I'm impressed. I have loaded for many lightweight Remington 7s and 700s and clones, montanas, and have a nula 308. The FC is just easy.

I'm kind of surprised that one didn't sell. I wonder if it's more a sign of economic concerns than declining demand of the FC rifles?
I wish I would have bought a lot more FC's when I got my 6.5mm man bun! Especially a fast twist 270 when they finally rolled them out near end of production.

I was in that bidding battle $1875 is where I stopped. After $80 shipping and taxes in fees it was over $2k

I think it would have sold already if GB didn't start charging tax and "fees" on their auctions. By the time you add shipping, tax, GB fees and 3-4% CC fees you're now looking at a $2,800+ rifle. Not to mention the market has cooled a little in the last few months.

Not many deals to be had on GB especially with the tax fees and super inflated shipping most want to charge.

Wrong, you've never had a Fieldcraft! I have a couple NULA rifles, Kimbers and semi custon 700's and like the FC the best! Mine will not be for sale, going in the box with me when I head for the Happy Hunting Grounds!
I think folks paying high prices for firearms has been paused temporarily. Even very desirable firearms.

This

Model 7 $750.00
AG Stock $600.00
Custom Barrel $650.00
Pro Bedding $150.00
Trigger Job $125.00
Freight $150.00 To and from Gunsmiths and suppliers

Total $2425.00 Total Resale after it isn't exactly what you want $1350.00, maybe. Been there done that too many times. BTW this all takes 6 or 8 months if you are lucky. It might be easier to lay off the taters and gravy!

Switch is correct. If "shoot just as well" and cost are the only considerations, then maybe....but there's a lot more happening with a Fieldcraft, especially the short action Fieldcrafts. Nothing else puts it all together like a short action Fieldcraft. To get a stainless short action with a 3" mag box at the same weight, you've got to go custom, and you're going to end up at a higher cost than even the inflated cost Fieldcrafts.

Stainless, 3" mag box, ~20 oz action weight, quality synthetic stock, quality bedding, quality barrel with a fast twist and chambered well.....custom is the only way to get there and it's hard to do at less cost than a Fieldcraft.

Yep. I've got several custom M7's. You'll never get a 3" mag box with a M7.
Tastes differ, I am not impressed with Fieldcrafts the stocks feel like a club to me.

+1
I have owned ULA, NULA, Kimber, Dakota, Winchester, Remington and customs. I'm still impressed with the SA Fieldcrafts.
Just sayin'.

What’s wrong with a LA besides more weight and less efficient?

I don't know because I never owned one!

I feel the same. Have owned ula, kimber, McMillan custom 700s but just couldn’t love the fieldcrafts. HOWEVER, I had a 22-250 and a 6.5x55 and both shot lights out!

I didn't know there were too many 22-250s out there. I'd like one.

I have a 22-250 fieldcraft...what ammo did you use in yours?
The fact that there's a very limited supply is whats driving the FC prices more than anything. The one I had was a nice rifle but it wasn't any better to me than a Seekins or a Bergara Premier, or even a T3x dropped into an aftermarket stock. Even after owning one I don't get the infatuation with them that other people seem to have with them

Nothing really wrong with them. They have a limited mag box OAL. Still, the ones I've owned have shot very well.

Dave, you have MY 22-250. I shot 36 gr varmint grenades.
Yeah the demand has really fallen off a cliff for FC’s.

I really like my long action fieldcraft. 270 win. 60 gr. of H4831 130 NP, under 1/2" all the time. I like my Kimbers also.

Maybe, maybe not.
Price driven way up by two low count (1 or 2 transaction) bidders after seller had it listed on another forum and told everyone it was worth about what it is currently bid at. I’m a bit dubious on that one.
Hard to imagine what it does that my $1000 270 Win Montana doesn't.

Nothing.
Or the $700 tikka sl, or …
