I have so many different calibers, I sure don't need to introduce another to the mix. Especially seeing as how I don't reload.
Otherwise, I would be interested.

Not a very good deal on long action I don’t know, They don’t make these anymore. A sub 6 lbs. 24 inch barrel 25-06 With a great reputation for accuracy…seems pretty cool to me.

Very nice rifle. Looks like no one wanted it at that price. Do you think he's going to go down on the price again? Scope is only worth about $300 at best.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Do you think it would have sold at that price in a short action?

I don't see the big deal on these, you can get a Tikka T3 Light that will shoot just as well if not better and is 6 1/4 lbs. Then if that is still not light enough get an aftermarket stock and it will weigh even less. Or put a custom barrel on a Remington Model 7 and save a butt load of money for other stuff

Do you think it would have sold at that price in a short action? Depends on which chambering. There was a 22-250 that sold last week for just under $1900.

And more recently, this one didn’t sell at 2k. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/943747480Haven’t been many selling much over $2300 in either configuration.

I have a 6.5 X 55 LONG ACTION 24' barrel that is the moist accurate rifle I've ever owned. Shoots in the 2 and 3's all day long. I wouldn't sell mine for $2450.00. I know all about putting together semi custom rifles, done quite a few. You often spend more than $2400.00 and end up disappointed so down the road it goes. 25 06 IMHO is a rather odd chambering, got one and hardly ever use. I also have a Tikka that I tried to hate, plastic detachable mag, plastic trigger guard, did I say detachable mag, sloppy feeling and loose fitting bolt, but it is starting to grow on me. Doesn't shoot as good as the Fieldcraft. In reality when you start customizing it with a new carbon stock, new SS bottom metal, Steel mags, you are closing in on the price of this Fieldcraft. And I still have that [bleep] 3 round detachable mag. Why is this a good idea? My $.02
Only thing I like better on the Kimbers is the 3 position safety.

This rant shouldn't be in the classifieds but here it is. I never jumped on the fieldcraft bandwagon until recently. Now I understand their following. I got a 6.5cm first from a member here. It shoots everything exceptionally well and to almost the same POI. I was impressed overall with the way it looks, feels and points as well. Then I got a 243 also from here. I like it even better. It has a 21" barrel that is slightly lighter than the 6.5cm. It also shoots everything well and shoots everything to the same POI. I shot 5 or 6 groups of different powder charges and bullets and they could all have been overlayed to a 1" group @100. I have too many lightweight rifles and enjoy tinkering with them. From what I've seen the FC doesn't need anything. Just my review and I'm impressed. I have loaded for many lightweight Remington 7s and 700s and clones, montanas, and have a nula 308. The FC is just easy.

I'm kind of surprised that one didn't sell. I wonder if it's more a sign of economic concerns than declining demand of the FC rifles?

I wish I would have bought a lot more FC's when I got my 6.5mm man bun! Especially a fast twist 270 when they finally rolled them out near end of production.

Do you think it would have sold at that price in a short action? I think it would have sold already if GB didn't start charging tax and "fees" on their auctions. By the time you add shipping, tax, GB fees and 3-4% CC fees you're now looking at a $2,800+ rifle. Not to mention the market has cooled a little in the last few months.
