I need some help. My 10 year old is really into turkey hunting and I need a shotgun for him. He goes with me and my 12 gauge is just too much gun and too big. I would like to find a used 20 gauge for him. He shoots left handed so a bottom ejection or left handed shotgun is preferred. As long as it is in mechanically safe and good condition I would be interested. Im not too concerned about the aesthetics. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
Any suggestions on shotguns I should consider? I'm on this forum because of the wealth of knowledge about guns that I don't have so I'm really looking for some suggestions. thanks
I know you said left eject or bottom. I can't really help you there as I don't know of any 20's that do that. I have built 6 youth model Remington 870's for myself, family, and friends.

I can help you there. If you decide to go this route, let me know if you want/need help.

Here's a link of one of my builds:

FYI, in some of those pattern pics the center circle isn't 10" like I orginally thought when I drew the circle and counted for my patterning results. I think they were 15" or so.
How about a Browning BPS Micro in 20ga? Bottom ejection and designed for smaller shooters.
Hope this helps. I don't have one but I believe they still make them.

i beleive this one ejects out the bottom too and it is light!
Have a Mossberg Super Bantam with adjustable synthetic stock and two barrels, 22 inch vent ribbed bird barrel and 24 inch ported slug barrel with a cantilever scope mount with a Nikon Slug hunter 3-9 aboard. Very nice gun that I bought new for my son who has now outgrown it. Right handed though... he is a lefty and it never bothered him, his new shotgun is a left handed auto.

This is my shotgun for sale, and yes, it is extremely light, and bottom eject. This is not a gun he'd ever need to upgrade, shootable and collectible from day 1.
My youngest shooter was in the same boat, leftie shooter needing a short LOP. I bought a BPS Micro 20ga. 22" VR barrel, Invector+ chokes, bottom eject, and durable as heck. I see a few around for $350-400 in good or better condition, well worth it in my opinion, and yes they still make them.
Both my sons are southpaws, so I had to deal with the same issue. I opted for an O/U. We got good use of a Stoeger Condor that I had cut back. As the boys grew we added a slip on recoil pad. I sold the gun a few years ago only because my youngest moved on to something else.

I have a 20ga SxS for sale ($835 Insured and Shipped to your FFL). If you are interested just shoot over a pm.
