Pre 64 Model 70 in 270 $850

This is a very nice pre 64 Model 70 chambered in 270 and built in 1951. It is extremely accurate with 130gr Nosler Partitions. The only flaw on this rifle is on the left side of the receiver where it appears that someone added their driver's license. Optics are not included, the leupold rings and bases are included. I’m surprised this hasn’t sold!

In my experience buyers have an aversion to guns with DL numbers engraved on them, they seem to think there's a possibility they're stolen.

As luck would have it, this isn't stolen. It is a great shooter and I won't feel bad returning it to the safe.

Back in the days when ships were made of wood and men were made of steel some people engraved numbers on their guns to claim ownership. I believe this had to do with their military experiences as my WWII vet grandfather did the same to all his guns.

Beavis - Don't let this tough crowd discourage you or discount your classic rifle. There are some really good guys here amongst a few internet bullies.

@ Muleshoe, I don't think so. The Bubba'd DL looks huge in the pics but it is really small.
