Set and forget. SFP. Good glass, withstand .375HH recoil and hold zero, $500 or less.
That was too easy. Call Doug at Cameraland.

Because it’s for a Christmas gift.

Over budget, and out of stock everywhere.
Anyone torture tested a Meopta Meopro 3-9? I’ve had a couple of them over the years and they have been rocksolid, but they also haven’t been put on anything heavier kicking than a 270.
Burris scopes might be an option for you and will certainly fit your budget.

Burris Fullfield II 3x9x40 Have had them/got them on some hard kickers, clear, accurate adjustments, tough as a boot! $150-$200 depends where you go.

That's the same scope as a Zeiss Conquest. They are damn good scopes. I have the 3.5-10x44 on my main elk rifle and it works great. I don't spin turrets on that one though. No numbers on that one and they also spin bass ackwards. My only gripe on that scope though, as the glass is great and it never loses zero....

Doug does that scope come with any reticle other than the standard duplex?
Thanks sir
The Maven 2-10x38 has my eye for this purpose.

The 2.5-8x36 is only available with the duplex

Thanks for that link.

Seems the RS model is assembled in the US with Japanese components.

Have you used one?

I'm also interested in reports on that scope.

No experience with them, Cory. Reading some about them seems promising. Have been eyeing them for a bit.

Absolutely I have it on my ultra lightweight 240 Weatherby I believe it's a wilderness rifle always under 7 lb ready to go with everything on it very clear glass and tracks wonderfully additionally they do military and civilian law enforcement first responder discount in case you qualify. Their quality is great and their prices are very fair that's why they cut out the middleman and you can only buy directly from them

A short ER was mentioned on the other thread.

What's your opinion on that.

DF
I checked out their web site and specs on the 2-10.

ER is 60-79mm at 2X, 60-81mm at 10X.

I've not seen a scope with increased ER at max power vs. low power. But those are their numbers.

That translates to 2.3"-3.1" inches and 2.3"-3.3" inches.

That may a tad close, but the scope looks impressive for the cost.

I was impressed enough to order one. Will report.

Already have a scope on my .375 H&H; I think it's one I got from you, a Zeiss Victory 2-10x42... grin

I have rifles it'll work on without getting a "Weatherby trademark"... wink

Trijicon has a 3-9x40. Good glass, good eye relief, light, 1" tube, made in Japan. Huron (no illumination), Credo (with illumination and more reticle choices). Can be had for $500-$550.
Correction, I think it was a 1.5-6x42 Zeiss Victory I got from you.

Eye Relief
2.5 in. - 3.7 in.

Not so good.

I have a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 on my Pre-64 FWT .358 Win. It's a great scope, has the green dot duplex which I like.

It's ER numbers don't look that good on paper, but in real life, there doesn't seem to be a problem. The .358 Win isn't a big kicker, but it does kick with the loads I'm feeding it.

I look forward to comparing it with the Maven.

DF
Is that the same as the Huron?

Accupoint: Eye Relief
3.6 in. - 3.2 in

Not sure. I don't know a lot about the newer Trijicons.

I have 3-9 Accupoint which was rebranded to the Credo. Eye relief is fine. 3.5-3-7. I didn't realize the Huron would be different.

Accupoint doesn't have a battery, just the fiberoptic/tritium set up.
