I need a light weight optic with a adjustable objective/parallax. Whatever the lightest weight scope with A/O doesn’t matter power range. Any suggestions?
Does it have to be AO or is just adjustable parallax fine. The DiamondBack HP is around 18-19oz, side focus and about $200 at MidwayUSA. Clearridge optics makes a little 3-9x32 with AO also for $219 and made in Japan.

What’s adjustable fine?

I think what he is asking is whether or not you want Adjustable Objective (i.e. the objective bell is spun to remove parallax) or would you be ok with a side adjustable parallax option (i.e. the parallax adjustment is a knob on the left side of the scope tube).
Either is fine. Just need a durable lightweight scope.

That should have been in the op. I was going to suggest a Leupold, but now that is out the fn window..
Leupold doesn’t have their light weight line anymore.
SWFA SS fixed power are about 19oz and very tough. I think Maven might have something lighter with adjustable parallax.

17oz light enough?

Never heard of maven…
Burris FF E1 4.5-14. Side focus. 15.3oz. About $170 here and there, now and then. Mine’s been on a number of rifles without issue.

Reticle’s not my favorite and it has a limited adjustment range typical of 1” scopes, but it works. Probably some .22 scopes out there that would work too.

I have a very light Burris 6x I snagged here on my Hornet, but you can’t have it.

How durable? How lightweight? IME, for the most part these two properties have some inverse correlation. It's a trade-off.

SWFA Fixed and some HD models, the smaller March scopes, some NF SHV and NXS Compact models, etc., are durable and fairly lightweight, and have adjustable parallax correction.

$170? Got a link
I've been impressed with both the VX-Freedom EFR A.O. 3-9x33 I've been working with. At 12 oz, you'll not find anything current production that's any lighter.

People can hammer Leupold all they want (some well deserved) but I believe their new stuff is getting better.

Ducking the bricks, now...... shocked

Good shootin' -Al
I have a 6x Burris that has adjustable objective and target turrets but it’s silver and has a fine dot reticle. Not sure if those are deal breakers or not? Weighs 13.9 ounces on my scale
Burris FF2 4.5x14-42 AO :

Amazon
18 ounces. Not made in China.

That Burris is lightweight. The Leupold even more.

I like the reticle better in the FFII, but the zoom and side focus better on the E1. Not to mention, $20 is $20.
If you can find an old Leupold Vari X-III 4.5-14 AO, they are both lightweight and rugged. I've seen a few of them for sale lately, but they are not cheap. There is one on now on eBay for $650!
