Anyone using a Trijicon AccuPoint?

If so, what is your review of eye relief, general optic quality and the aiming point in extremely low light?

I'm mildly intrigued with the 3x9 but I rarely hear it mentioned in discussions.

I have been to the range twice now with my new Accupoint 3x9. My version has the standard duplex with the single green dot. I usually shy away from gimmicky things. But my guide in AK. insists on light assistance for fall brown bear. So far I am impressed with the optics, the eye relief, turret adjustments and
general overall looks. It is on my Kimber Talkeetna so the 375 H&H will give it a good test. My groups are running just as good as the Leupy gave, an inch at 100 and slightly more at 200.

I have a Trijicon accupoint 3x9 with a post reticle with a red triangle on top. Optic quality is very good, up there with my Zeiss conquests and a notch above Leupold Vari X III IMO. Eye relief seems adequate, but I have not actually tried to measure it. I really don't think you can beat it in low light situations early and late, and there are no batteries to go dead. If I were buying another, I might go with the newer green reticle, and of course they make reticles with a crosshair with a lighted dot in the center if you don't like the post. I bought mine on the 'fire for about 450$ IIRC, but they are a little pricey new, in the 600-700$ range. Thinking about putting it on my .375 for an upcoming (Aug) trip to SA. I would reccomend them without hesitation. Hope this helps.

I have thought about one for a while now too. I live less than 15 miles from the factory and pass it everyday. I personally can not get over the short eye relief (3.2" on 9 power) on the 3-9x40 model. It's too bad too, because the mil-dot green dot would be perfect on my NULA .50 cal MZ.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised that the eye relief is ok on Bigwhoop's 375? Oh well to each their own.

You won't be disappointed with one of these scopes. Lots of info in the links provided by Steelhead. For those cloudy days when it's dang near dark by 4:30 PM & no snow to brighten it up the Accupoint is a nice rig.

Been eyeing these for years Gunbroker has the best deals right now at least that I've found.$532 ain't bad for the Triangle version. Personally I'd go Crosshair Green Dot 3-9x40.

I've had my 3X9 with amber triangle for a couple of years now. To me it's optically superior to my Zeiss Conquest, eye relief is fine also, in fact I think the eye relief is better than they advertise on their website (or at least they don't make some false claims as other companies do).I'll be getting another soon with a green dot.

Ive had the 5-20x50 30mm version for about a year and Im extremely impressed. Optics are great and tracks very good. Mine has the standard duplex and green dot. Never any problems with eye relief.

Eye relief is better on the 5-20 than the 3-9. You probably don't have it on a hard kicker either.

Skane, Ive got a 3x9 & 5x20 accupoint. Get the green cross hair. Sportoptics or opticsplanet should have them available now.

2 months ago, green crosshairs were nowhere to be found. Seems some dealer are getting them in finally. My 5x20 is a milldot. Even the Trijicon 5x20 is a pretty compact. I think its only 13.2" long. Kinda short & stout scopes similar to the Leupold 4.5-14x50 size which I prefer.

I have the 3x9 Amber Mil-Dot on one of my AR calling rifles and love this scope and wish i had them on all my rifles. It is as good or better than my Leupold and Zeiss scopes. Buy the 3x9 you won't be sorry.

I have a 3-9 with the green dot and crosshairs. I put it on a 7-08 and have done some range work with it in bright and overcast conditions. It is very easy to see the dot against a solid black target. I'd put it a bit behind the 3-9 Conquest in optical quality but it's still good. I bought it for shooting dark hogs and I could see where it'd be a good call for dark bears too. For deer, antelope, and the like, I think I'd just as soon have the Conquest as it's cheaper with more eye relief.

In my journey to Gander yesterday to check out rangefinders I looked through one of these again like I always do there and man I just love that crosshair greendot. I have to have one or 2 of these scopes!

They used to be rated at water-resistant, not waterproof. Are they still that way or have they changed? That ruled them out for Alaska hunts in my book. Has Mule Deer ever done his "torture test" on them? Just wondering... Filbert

Seem to recall a recent issue of Guns and Ammo where Mule Deer put a 1.5-4x Trijicon through a multi-week brown bear hunt. Didn't read anything about water damage.

I've had mine soaked in Oregon rain with no adverse effects.

Gleaned the above from another Trijicon post and am wondering how the 1.25-4x24mm 'fits', fore and aft on say a M70 L/A (338 Win Mag)? Are extended mounts need to get the required eye relief?
