Well, after five months with my 1.5-4x Trijicon on my CZ 550 9.3x62, I noticced that I almost always had the scope set on 3x, mainly because the eye relief is so long at lower powers that I couldn't get a proper cheekweld with the scope at 1.5.

So I bought the 3-9 version. Initial impression upon mounting the scope is: wow. Eye relief at 3x is the same as the 1.5-4 at 3x, which is to say it is long. The scope is also visibly brighter and of equal sharpness. Shooting test tomorrow morning, more to come.

I also got a look at Trijicon's new reticle this afternoon. Their dealer rep was at my local store and had one of their 2.5-10x56 scopes with the new reticle. It is a tapered cross hair with an illuminated dot in the center. If you're used to the Leupold Dot then you will really like this reticle. I've become used to the standard Trijicon triangle and so won't be getting one of the new reticles, but if you were hesitant to try a Triji because of the post reticle, this new reticle solves your problem.

I mounted a 3-9X40 on a friends CZ in 375 H&H & had the opportunity to use a bit. Very impressed. I was concerned about ability to use the post for longer shots. John B.(Muledeer) posted that he likes the scope very much & has used to shoot animals at 500 yards. I plan to purchase one ASAP.

I've been doing a bit of shooting with mine since I got it a little while ago and mounted it on my Featherweight model 70 in 270.Really like it alot.Besides the reticle(amber triangle) which is really cool. The scope and optics are great also.

Local dealer has them for 529.95, which beats most 'net dealers.
