No luck for me on the moose and sheep. Still waiting on the goat.

Same.
0 for 3 here.

Which is no surprise.

35 years of applying for M, S, and G and ONE goat tag to my name.

Dammit, I suck. smile
all three of us struck out on our sheep application.

Didn't put in for moose or goats.

When do they draw for bison?

I really want to poke a hole in a buff by the park.

Nothing for me or the wife
No tags, just bonus points for me and the wife!
Nothing for me or the GF. Hopefully antelope.....
I drew two out the three.......

Should be in Vegas right now....grin!

Congrats Pat!

Looking forward to the pics already!
Good luck Pat. If you are hunting mountain goats in the same unit you helped my wife out with a few years ago, I am happy to return the favor with info as I hunted it last year. My buddy drew it this year so I will be down there scouting again for his hunt. Looking forward to seeing your hunt unfold.
Pat, best of luck.. As others said, looking forward to the photos..

You don't need a tag for that.

What makes a trophy ewe?

Wow! Good luck. I'm sure you'll make the best of both tags.
No luck again!!
Now max. pts. + 1
Damn
There is next year!

Max points +1.........

You gotta remember they are 'bonus' points...not preference points. Sooooooooo, basically meaningless...except to F&G as a fundraiser....

I haven't looked but I have heard you no longer get even a partial refund if you don't draw....T or F?
True, they Takith, but no givith back.
They like your money.
Couldn't happen to a better guy! Congrats! I know you will make the best of it!
I got a goat tag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone hear from JB yet? I hope this was finally his year.
I think they have me on the "do not draw" list.

No, there is a seven year wait before you can apply again, if you draw a sheep, goat, or moose permit. I drew a goat permit back in 1977. The bonus point system was established in 2000.

Just curious Pat. What rifles and loads will you be using to fill those tags?

Has anyone actually gotten a bison tag for West Yellowstone? I am in an advantageous position with the cow/calf roster hunt and would be interested in anyone who has poked a hole in buff by the park (ie, shot a bison . . .. )

I'll be using my 6.5 SAUM for the goat. Probably with 130gr JLK's at 3300fps. I may try to kill the swamp donkey with my bow....if that doesn't work out, I'll use the 6.5.
I'm 0 for 3 this year; which, by the way, takes me to about 0 for 90 +/- for my lifetime (throw in my kids and its 0 for 120 +/-). I guess I should look at it positively, at least I'm batting 1000.

I use .580 for my .260@3000fps. A bit higher for the SAUM for the extra speed. It's a great bullet. It reaches the destination in a hurry at 3300!

Did he jump off a cliff after you shot him? Good lookin goat, conglads Bob
I dumped him in his tracks, dead before he hit the ground then gravity took over and he rolled down a couple hundred feet!
Awesome goat! Thanks for sharing the great pics.
Nice
Matt----Mine jumped down an avalanche shoot. Busted both horns, seems like a lot of them do a death jump. How were his pantaloons? I wished I had done a half mount with mine.
Mine never took a step, he was dead before he hit the ground, just rolled a bit... No broken horns thankfully! He was a middle aged billy, not young but not old, he has nice horns but his body wasn't huge so I'm doing shoulder mount that includes the shins(?) but not the feet.
Very nice. You ought to post up a full story and more pics.
