In less than 5 months, our government has dictated what events are acceptable versus unacceptable to attend. Riots are OK, but church and family funerals are not. Standing in a graduation line is a "safety hazard,” but feel free to line up at WalMart, Lowes, and Home Depot.

There are thousands of viruses that *could* affect the population, but these viruses do not matter because MSM didn't say they do.

It's absolutely terrifying to me that so many people do not question authority because they see that authority as "all knowing." It's even more terrifying that these same people rely on corrupt "leaders" to be led, thus lacking all critical thinking skills/independence.

What's most problematic to me about all of this is that the people who are wearing masks "for the greater good" will be the first to sign up for this shiny new vaccine that's had 0 longitudinal safety tests against an inert placebo.

What's more problematic to me is that this Vaccine MAY be the deciding factor in life moving forward.

You thought a mask was inconvenient? Wait until you're told that you cannot enter a store without proof of the Covid-19 vaccine. Wait until you cannot go to public events, or travel, without proof of having received this vaccine.

To everyone that doesn't believe this is possible - do you understand that our government just successfully dictated to people WHEN they were allowed to be outside, where they were allowed to go, and how their children would be educated, in less than 5 months? And that a majority of the population followed blindly because they were told to do so.

You're kidding yourself if you believe that they're not going to repeat this behavior with a vaccine.

If people have not protested the occurrences in America over the last 5 months, they will assuredly continue to abide by unsubstantiated "guidelines" that will include a vaccine.

Yep TLEE, I see it coming. They had the barber shops here closed. Reopened this week with only four chairs for customers to sit. Barber charges $12 here. When I got out of the chair I looked at the pile of hair and said that looks like more than $12 worth and gave him $25.

Simple question, does the surgeon who is repairing your worn out heart utilize strict sterile procedure and wear a mask to protect himself or his patient? This is a guy who is in the top 2% of students. Has a work ethic that he stressed through 12 years of school and many 20 hour days of internship and residency. Masks have been mandatory in operating rooms for many years but what do those puppets know.

Another simple question, do you wash your hands after pissing or dumping? Similar logic at play here. If you don't like masks avoid the places where they are mandatory don't go there.

Google up any surgical mask study, before Covid acourse, and you'll find that every one of em found that the surgeon wearin a mask had absolutely no impact on surgical patient infections.

A mask is not an unproven vaccine. I dont think a mask is harmful if clean.

Read the brief article. They didn't list their methodology for coming to that conclusion so for now I'd take it with a grain of salt. A recent study out of China also made some claims about mask use, but they were shot down by experts around the world for using data that would likely have given the same result without mask use. There was a large meta study done based on over 170 previous studies world wide that concluded that masks had a reasonable reduction in transmission, but that the reliability of this conclusion was 'weak' to use their own words. Overall, they likely work, but a better stragegy is physical distance, hand hygiene and contact tracing of infected individual by public health officials. The same meta study concluded with moderate certainty that physical distance and hygiene were good methods to prevent spread of the virus. Some jurisdictions had good results and used masks, but they also did the other measures (and border shut downs). Things are getting pretty much under control up here in Canada.

I just keep a mesh turkey hunting half mask handy in the truck. Gets me past any mask gestapo. No regulation on what they have to be made of.

IfSee most people wearing masks public around here. Mostly voluntary. If most of the population is willing to wear masks in public To lower their chance of getting or spreading the virus then most will also want to get the shot. So I dont see mandatory shots being necessary or likely. They will line up like sheep to get it. Some companies might mandate you get it to work there but I am skeptical that the government will require you to get one. If Biden wins then my opinion might change.

Does a mask make a difference? Yes. But not a big difference. It's been described as a cheesecloth approach, mask alone won't prevent anything, washing hands alone won't prevent anything, social distancing alone won't prevent anything etc. But each piece reduces in some amount, sometimes small, sometimes large.

I am NOT for universal rules, our country is to big and diverse and the spread of C19 is to varied depending on locations. Keep it in scope, we are at about 3,000,000 cases. That's a big number and a lot of people. However statistically it's 1% of our country.

Personally I don't wear a mask. I will this afternoon at a doctor office as that's their rule, so it's my decision to wear or not go. I wore it on a plane to go visit my new grandson, my choice to do so, or don't go.

I will make the decision based on medical info I can round up and filter through depending on where I go.

There is always a different store!! I had a recent experience with two local liquor stores. One required a mask to enter, the other didn't even require employees to wear them!

I am vaccinated against Polio, Small Pox Mumps, Tetenus, Typhus, pneumonia, flu, and probably a few more I can't remember right now. I would have the HPV vaccine if I were not so old, that it would do no good.

I do not skimp on the eight way with cows and horses either. Vaccines are the greatest blessing to come from the industrial age.

I will be standing in line for my shot when it becomes available. But then, I am not a sheep. I can read the science and understand the odds.
