Reddy had to decide what to put on the B side
of a single, so producers told her let's just do an
already popular hit (I don't know how to love him)
So at least folks will recognize it... She said but
there are already more than one version of such
so didn't see much value in it...
Hers was the third version? of that song and it blew
the others away and much unexpectedly became
the start of her huge success ...
IIRC, it did better than the later 'I am woman'
but IAW seriously helped her solidify her road
to success.... I'm not sure she fully agreed
with the way the women's movement adopted
and ultilized her song for their cause... She was
not the feminazi type man hater some made her
out to be... but Helen can't fully control how they
promote her material to their own advantage.
