It's more of a parody...which I didn't appreciate, so say the least. To each his own.
Can’t enjoy any singing cowboy movie or pre-1940 or so westerns in general.

Ken Maynard was the first Singing Cowboy in 1930, when he sang two songs in 'Sons Of The Saddle'.
