The Son's of the Pioneers, Roy Rogers, Gene Aurtry, and the rest.
Those were of course professional entertainers, not working cowboys.
I do know ten of more good people that are not professional musicians that play, or sing in church, weddings, and funerals
I guess in a way they are the same as "singing cowboys"? .

There were some who sounded like wind howling through a drainpipe.

Check out the movie "Rustler's Rhapsody". It's a comedic update on the old singing cowboy shows. It's more of a parody...which I didn't appreciate, so say the least. To each his own.

Can’t enjoy any singing cowboy movie or pre-1940 or so westerns in general.
Earliest good western to me was Stage Coach
