Glad you asked the blackest thing I ever bought was a counterfeit cashmere scarf a half block off Carroll street in NYC. Hey, I was freezing my nutz off .. and dude had like 20 of them.
I had an old school boss when I was a kid. Everything he owned was black. Boat, trucks, cars, motorcylces. One day I asked him why he always buys black and he looked up from the newspaper he was reading and said "k20350 I just love everything black.........*looks back down at newspaper*.........................................................................................................................*looks back up* Except my women"
My wife thought I was kidding when I told her we were going to have Popeye's for Thanksgiving this year.
Even after I bought it.
"When are you going to make that thing?"
"Uhhhh, what part of Thanksgiving do you not get?"
Hey sorry canât make it to your place for thanksgiving, Jim Conrad wonât pay me my wages until 1 December.. Also glad your wife gave you enough scratch to buy it. Looks like the deflave gang going to eat good!
I've always assiduously avoided anything and everything black. No Kools, no Colt 45, no curb feelers, and no static strips. I don't even drink Sprite (all the brothas seem to like their cola like dey like dey wimmens... white)
It used to. It's still plenty fast, when it works. The sucker wants to get quite a ways from the ramp, quit and not start back up. Its been worked on several times to no avail. I'm hoping it's not the Power Pack. Boat is 1995 Cajun Travis Edition...about 19'.

Bought me a breeding pair of negroes back in 1857, but that was a life or two ago. They still worked pretty good back then. I must have been a pretty rotten sumbitch, because these negroes in this life ainât worth buying!đ
It seems kinda ghetto but I've had good luck cooking turkeys in those Reynolds oven bags.
Thatâs not ghetto.
Thatâs Nebraska.
Nebraska's only got like, one black guy. I think it's Tiger Woods. I used to use Cosby for this, but obviously he don't work any more. OJ crossed himself off the list before that.

They're one of the easiest and best things you can learn to smoke.
Easily done on an inexpensive upright like what Brinkmann makes. People usually get too fancy with them but if you keep it basic with just a little bit of smoke and a water pan, they are about as good as a turkey gets.
Yes you would. I smoked one fpr Thanksgiving one year when my in laws were still living. Brought that thing in the house, and my MIL exclaimed, âYou burned it!â
Then I started slicing it, and the juice started running everywhere. She ate turkey until she was miserable.đ
turk was one of my earliest bbq successes in my brinkman days. they are really easy. the way i do it is to first make sure it is thoroughly thawed and then i use the same rub that i do for ribs and coat the cavity and under the breast skin real good. i don't bother with injections but you could. i put it in a foil pan to catch the juice along with the innards and then get the WSM up to 250-ish and keep in on for 5 hours or so, give or take. i use a thermo pen to get a quick reading and when its around 165 i pull it out and let it rest for 15 min or so. i strain and use the juice and chopped innards for gravy. i would do it every thanksgiving but my wife and daughter are not real big fans of it or smoked ham, which it kinda tastes like.
Any of you guys do the turkey fryer thing? I've heard good things but never tried one.
We started frying them about 15 years ago. They're far superior to any turkey I've ever had smoked or baked. Frying is not overrated at all, done right with lots of injected marinade it's fantastic.
DelFarve: How do it taste bro? I saw the TV ad about these and my mouth began to water! Nearest "Popeye's" is 165 miles each way from me - sadly. Enjoy. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Flave, truer words were never spoken. I had an old Brinkman SmokenGrill upright I paid ~ $24 for back in the day. I smoked hundreds of lbs of turkey, fish, meat and everything else under the sun on it. My ex-wife finally threw it out one day while I was at work because she thought it was ugly. (The bottom had rusted out). Lol.
As long as you keep that water pan NOT EMPTY and smoke / heat going, you're golden.

You nailed it.
Best turkey you can make. I'll never understand the desire to make a turkey taste like something that isn't a fugkin' turkey.
Cooking some chicken on the pit ( with mesquite wood), hope itâs as good as pop eyes. Drinking a bit of Jack also. Itâs impossible to bbq without alcohol!!!

Wild Turkey are by far the best tasting bird there is and i have eaten a few home and abroad(No bats just in case y'all wondering)....But turkeys are damn weird animals though.
I played Mike linebacker in college, the Will linebacker was black and the Sam linebacker was black. After home games it was a tradition for us to go to the corner store, one of us would get a 40 of Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull, a 40 of Colt 45, and a 40 of Olde English....or mix match as needed depending on what they had. That was usually the primer for the rest of the night. We'd usually split up after finishing the 40's.
That's about the blackest thing my glow in the dark self has purchased.
It had to be a pair of Platform shoes I bought before going in the Army, 1971. They looked good with my bell-bottom pants. My somewhat long hair at the time helped. After I came home from boot camp, with a shaved head, the whole "ensemble" lost alot of its appeal! lol
Myself and a bunch of MP's at Ft. Sam Houston used to get off shift at 11:30 at night and we'd always be hungry when we got off. I had a car so I would drive at least one of the brothers with me to a Church's fried chicken out the south gate on New Braunfels road and go about 2 miles to Nevada street and a couple of more blocks east and there was a Churches. We always walked in with one of the brothers and we never go hassled. Typically we were still wearing a uniform of some type (class b khaki's with no MP brassard) We were never refused service but we were regular customers and we always bought a lot of chicken. This was 1973 and 1974 by the way. It was a great time to be in San Antonio. It's my understanding that Nevada St. is now MLK Blvd.

They aint bad, been hot smoking mine around 300-325 though on the bge with the creole injector and seasoning on the skin. Can get a crispy skin without having to fry. Gotta be a little healther anyway. Tastes better to me done this way.

Yep, smoking is much better. Getting me one of those Popeye's birds today though, want to try it.
