Actually, it's 38 states. 50 x .75 = 37.5, rounded up to 38. 13 small states say no and it's dead. It needs 2/3 of both houses before it gets that far.

There's no way 38 states are going to give up that much power.There will always be at least 13 states who would like their population to have a say in electing the President rather than letting New York and California dictate it.
The agenda needs to get back on track, making up for the four lost Trump years.
........... Precisely; and getting rid of the electoral college has been on their most wanted list for years. In typical Lib fashion it will have to be quickly rammed through because it's so important to our democracy, or some other such B.S. like "it's an emergency".
I don't think the electoral college is even constitutionally up for grabs. It was part of the deal (the Constitution as written) territories made with the government when they became states. It seems even at the time there was a distrust with government.
