My first concert was at the Paramount theatre 1975 (rising star event) Seattle ,featuring Blondie. Not many People had seen her preform . Mileys rendition doesn't hold a candle to this original version. Not to mention a whole lot better looking. !

saw Blondie in 1982, Tampa bay FL... She was HAF then and the concert was a blast...I believe Blackfoot and the outlaws opened for her... Plus I got in my Gf panties so it was a double good night.
I think Miley, the crazy little tramp, just kicked Debbie Harries ass to the curb. Then turned around & showed plenty, plenty of class & sang Jolene very well, while barefooted in the back yard.
WTF ever she is, she can do it if she puts her mind to it. Bravo
I wont dig through back through but has some liver-spotted boomer mentioned Helen Reddy or Bette Midler yet??

I saw Bonnie Raitt at a small venue in the 80's and thought she and her band were excellent. A couple years ago I found out she's a flaming liberal, So I don't think that much about her anymore.
To me Alison Kraus is in the same league as Emmylou Harris: very strong solo, but they really come into their own as collaborators.
I was going to try to figure out how to post a link to a YouTube video of one of her songs, but they're all so good I couldn't pick one. And you're right, her voice blends well with others.
I don't know how to do the youtube link thingy, but Pink does an amazing acoustic cover of Me and Bobby Mcgee. Also Shania Twain did Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain with Willie Nelson that is really good
I vote for Wendy-O and the Plasmatics. Or Chryssie Hynde of the Pretenders. That Cyrus gal's got the pipes but lacks soul and charisma. YMMV.
I'm a fan of that Hynde gal too............but she went political a long time ago. Middle of the Road is a favorite song and still gets cranked though.
Wendy-O and the Plasmatics...............................you're diggin deep for that one bruh.
Saw The Plasmatics at The Stone in SF in the late 80's.
I was too f'd up to remember much.
Mid-80s I'm pretty sure I saw W/O and the lads open for Lemmy fronting for Motorhead, but then again it was the big 80s and might've only been a dream. Still, this one scar tells a different story...

The music scene in SF/Bay during the late 80's was ripe.
'Those not in the know?' What? Boomers be twirling their canes and moshing talkin' 'bout, "ooh yeah, I likey the Cool Whip bra, baby!" As usual, well done paisano. <grins> Tu tambien, FC.
I've nothing against white trash broads shaking and baking their crack-makers but those crackalacka dudes are about enough to make a grand wizard blush. HFS

Anyone who thinks she's a great singer should get a hearing test. She's not bad, maybe even fairly good, but she can't even glimpse great from where she is.

That said, crazy B or not, any single guy in his right mind shouldn't kick her out the bed. At least no on the first go round.
Having dated a bunch of operatic singers in my day, I would say that she's having trouble getting support from her abdominal muscles. Her chords don't sound healthy either. That kind of performance can't be sustained. I lot of singers resort to belting like that when they start to fade. I predict burnout.

I disagree, some vocal chords can handle it. Dave Grohl has been doing it for 25+ years. Her vocals sound strong to me, no falsetto. Yeah she's a whore who cares.

Yeah, and folks thought that pointy metal bra thing Madonna wore was special, eh?
Gotta give it to her though, that Italian broad can sing pretty good too. I just never liked her pop music style.
She can afford her own hookers. Her net is approaching 1/4 billion. Since I took duck’s class, and I’m on a wagering roll, I’d bet she’s better looking AND better off financially then everyone on this thread! 😜

I have to agree. Couldn't listen to it. I'm in the camp that would f u c k her in a heartbeat too. She may be a good singer on some stuff, but that's not the stuff. Very forced.
