If they actually figure out how to create a cosmic cloud and reduce the sun's impact upon the Earth, they may well bring back the "mini-ice age of the fifties" or colder.

Then they will reduce the food production across the temperate portions of the globe and will achieve the global population reduction they so crave.
Gates is one of the biggest megalomaniac narcissist of all time. A legend in his own mind.
It's not all that difficult to engineer a "cosmic cloud".

What's difficult is how to get rid of it when people realize the consequences - less sun hitting their solar panels, shorter growing seasons for reduced food production, longer winters and more deaths from extreme cold (extreme cold kills many more people than excessive heat), shipping lanes being restricted by larger and longer-lasting ice packs, much higher heating bills and higher prices for ALL food, not just fruits and vegetables, since even feed for cattle and pork will be affected, raising the price of meat as well.

Once the negatives become realities, they will realize too late that you can't just send up a cosmic vaccumn to clean up the mess!
“0h, it’ll be great!” they said🤦🏻‍♂️
Wish his narcissist ass would do us all a huge favor and go ahead and die.

It's what happens when a person has so much money that their entire life is spent getting their ass constantly kissed by every person they interact with (see Michael Jackson).

What this means is that there is something in it for him...or some clown in the media is quoting out of context.

Either way neither affect me or mine with regards to the subject matter.
and just maybe the spread of the virus was done this way as a experiment.

Nah...I would contribute most of that to uninformed incompetence, base stupidity, and political self interest.

Still believe the Chinese .gov manufactured it though.
It’s like watching a James Bond movie. The plot is the same...
He didn't originate the idea. Some years ago it was proposed that we put billions of pieces of reflective chaff in orbit between the earth and sun to do the same thing. No one said anything about what would happen if it worked too well and the earth cooled too much.
Bill Gates needs to hurry up and die the world would be a better place without him.
Dim the Sun?

How about we start with the telemarketers and the extended Car warranty calls first?
I don't know about you guys, but I always order dim sum when we do Chinese.
Gates is a huge Eugenics nut and this is his way of depopulating the earth. He has the money to do it and Who's going to stop his idiocy? Oh, he was in on stealing the election as was Zuk-book and the rest of the mega rich socialist mind control freaks.
Dim wit wants a dim sun.
A while back I was asked what the temperature of Mars was. I didn't know so I did some reading. As we can expect it's too cold for us to live comfortably. So in that same article it was suggested that global warming will someday be caused in an effort to raise the temperature. All of these people are psychopaths and need to not have any say in anything.

"Rosebud"
Ahhhhh....
Someone tell Bill...
The sun interacts with the earths radiation/ magnetic belts and protects the planet from schit like gamma rays and crap like that IIRC.

Somebody tell Gates that the sun is already at a low point and still going down.

That just about killed gun shows in 2014.

Actually, it might be a pretty good idea (the experiment, I mean, not necessarily the full deployment). Consider:

Item 1: In 1965 (yes, 1965) I read a report from a US government study that recommended that some white floating particles (forget exactly what) be scattered in all the oceans to reflect sunlight. Same basic principle. Gates didn't think it up.

Item 2: We're already doing it, but not in a controlled manner. There is a thing called the "Asian Brown Cloud," discovered about 15 years ago. It consists of a haze layer caused by burning forests and pollution in Asia. It has reduced the global warming effect by a degree or so.

Item 3: Nature is doing it. I had a friend (now deceased) who had a consulting contract to measure the sunlight across all frequencies from Kitt Peak on the day of the Summer solstice every year. The Mt. Pinatubo volcano that erupted in the Philippines cut the sunlight reaching the ground in Kitt Peak Arizona by 10%. Had that continued permanently, it would have caused an ice age, but it dispersed in a couple of years. (Note that the human eye cannot detect a change of less than 50% in ambient light unless it happens very suddenly).

Here's my take on this:

Now it is a fact that global warming is happening. It does not matter if you think it is or not, or whether it is natural. It's happening. Over a time span of 100 years or so, it will have disastrous and expensive consequences for our civilization, including bye bye Florida. Going to 100% renewable fuel might really screw up everyone's standard of living. If we can moderate the temperature increase by controlling sunlight, it might be the cheapest way out. Do the experiment and find out.

And any chicken little who thinks a nuclear winter will necessarily happen is a fool. That depends on how much calcium carbonate causes how much cooling. We should find out.

Can YOU tell me what is normal??????

It's been hotter and it's been colder. So where are we on the scale/range, and what is normal???

AND, IF it is a 'natural' process.... Can it actually be stopped????
I don’t think mr gates is too worried about global warming in the near future. He just bought a $43 million oceanfront mansion. Would you do that if you really believed catastrophic climate change was imminent?

Don't forget there was an ice age that ended just before the civil war, sometime in the 1850's, the earth has been slowly warming ever since. Did you notice the cold winter and cool spring we are experiencing.

Historically that was known as the little ice age. A completely different one from the big pléistocène one.

But history making nonetheless!!!

There is no "normal." In the past the earth has been hotter and it has been colder. the sea level has been higher and it has been lower. The problem is the rapidity with which it can change.

For instance, if there were far fewer people and we lived by hunting and gathering, and climate change happened very slowly, we would just pick up and slowly migrate elsewhere. But if we have billions of people, huge city infrastructures, and the climate changes rapidly, that's a problem.

Historians think that a long dry spell in central Asia, about 2000 years ago, caused tribes to migrate away from it. Some of those drove the Huns to the West, and they in turn drove the Goths into the Roman Empire. So the Empire fell. Was the Empire "normal" or were the more primitive Gothic kingdoms "normal?"
Depends on if you were a Goth or not.

Can it be stopped? "Stop" is a pretty strong word. It can be controlled within limits, perhaps for thousands of years. Maybe not. do the experiment to find out.

I don't know his thought process but in 2010 I bought a condo. I looked at how far above high tide level I was. I looked at projections for sea level rise and figured I would be safe at least until 2100 (at which time I will have been dead), though projections that far out are uncertain.
What could possibly go wrong?
If you get a chance, Google "Asian Brown Cloud."

Daylight is 6% dimmer in India and China than in 1900. And when carbon particles (not to be confused with CO2 in the atmosphere) precipitates out it absorbs sunlight. It may be responsible for 94% of the Arctic ice melting.

So we're already experimenting with changing the climate. We just don't know what the Hell we're doing.
"Over a time span of 100 years or so, it will have disastrous and expensive consequences for our civilization, including bye bye Florida."

Exactly why your first statement is horse puckey.

You have no idea my background. Either an argument stands on it's merits or it doesn't. Trying an ad hominem attack means your argument falls short.
Doesn’t Lutron offers a 386,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Watt dimmer? I think they have them at the Home Depot, in the electrical aisle. 🤪
Looks like Alex Jones has been correct for decades. He called this probably 15yrs ago if not 20.

OK, you don't have a science education. It does not matter.

My point is that if you don't understand something or don't understand it exactly, you should think up a theory and then think up an experiment to verify whether or not your theory is correct. A lot of theories get discarded.

The Wright Brothers were bicycle mechanics. Their gliders didn't work right. They theorized that the "accepted" aerodynamic equations were wrong. So they invented the wind tunnel (their experimental apparatus) and figured out how to correct the equations.

What's wrong with performing an experiment to uncover the truth?

Quite possibly unintended consequences that were not planned for nor foreseen at the outset of the experiment.
The present Sun activity evidence shows we are headed into a "Maunder Minimum" cycle.

Pardon me. I do not mean to be argumentative. But what sunspot evidence are you referring to? And who says it's a "Maunder Minimum?

The best way to find out if the temperature is getting warmer is to measure the temperature. It is.

You have to search for it, and it's one of those things that you won't hear from the news, left controlled "science", and yahoo, google, etc. Try duck duck go.

It may open up a whole new world for most people.

"The Maunder Minimum and the “Little Ice Age”

Times of depressed solar activity seem to correspond with times of global cold in history. The most famous example is the “Little Ice Age.”

Between 1645 and 1715—during what we now call the “Maunder Minimum”—sunspots were exceedingly rare.
Specifically, there were only about 50 sunspots (instead of the usual 40 to 50 thousand) and harsh winters.
For 70 years, temperatures dropped by 1.8 to 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit.
Seven decades of freezing weather, corresponding with the coldest period of the Little Ice Age, led to shorter seasons and ultimately food shortages."

So sea levels rising 2.5 inches in 100 years can't be outrun? Explain to me how "it" (explain "it") can be controlled within limits? Do you really think Co2 one of the most important gasses in the atmosphere is totally responsible? Do the experiment? Water vapor is 60% of the global warming situation while CO2 is less than .05%. The CO2 is negligible. However, they can't regulate or tax water vapor while they've found ways to do it with CO2.

As far as the “ Asian brown cloud “ it’s a misdirection con.
In the 90’s I did work along the west coast trying to figure out why the pollution alarms were triggering when LA, SF, San Diego and other places were cleaning up their act. It was pollution residue coming across the ocean from Asia/India businesses and billions of of home fires burning low grade coal.
Remember the last olympics over there? Even shutting down industry for hundreds of miles didn’t help. Athletes still needed masks.
It’s not trees burning over there, that’s just what they want you to think.
As far as our west coast pollution warning system ...Bill Clinton’s solution was to just shut it all down quietly.
