When are folks gonna realize that a very high percentage of entertainers, actors & musicians from multiple genre's are liberals. A huge percentage, that's just the way they are......
They are different from mainstream, some say weird. Maybe so, but likely different for sure. Different from mainstream working class, out of touch with reality & a working Americans everyday life.. Count on it. It''s not a news flash that some Holllyweird is a liberal. Common knowledge really, just the way it is.
Just a bit of trivia that I noticed about the opening scene of the show. Only in the season one episodes does the second rock that opie picks up and throws at the lake, does it ever show it hitting the water with a splash.... From then on out it never shows the splash in any season two episodes or those after.... ..... and the best looking "MILF" on the show, hands down...EVER, was Barbra Eden.... Just thought I’d throw that out there!!
He is a stinking liberal in real life. He is NOTHING like the character he portrayed on the show!
Well maybe, maybe not. He was slick, no doubt.
It dawned on me one day, Andy was a big lib, hiding in plain sight, posing as a hillbilly. He was the smartest guy in the room, surrounded by idiots. He was such a slick lawman, didn’t even need a weapon. He used his Jedi mind trick strategy on everyone even the crooks. He manipulated everyone into conforming to his will with them not even knowing it.
So what’s the different between his stage persona, even with all the awe shucks stuff thrown in, than libs. Libs are smarter than everyone, know what’s best for everyone. They do the thinking for everyone. Manipulate the unwashed masses for their own good. Masses that without the superior intellect working on their behalf, would mess up something terrible.
Yep, Andy wrote, directed and starred in that series. It was his baby.
Andy really disappointed a lot of Carolinians over the years with his support of liberals. That said, his show did accurately portray what life was like in rural/small town Carolina, at one time.
& I bet he was, she was the only one that ever stayed on the show For any length of time. Ms Elie, the drugest in the early shows, was the oldest daughter on the series father knows best. She didn’t last to long. Probably to young and too smart to be fughin Andy... I bet Andy would of give his left nut to of banged Barbra Eden(the manicurist)... she just done one show so I doubt that ever happened.
Ms Crump,.. anybody remember her in the Sifi flick called "The Blob"? She was opposite Steve McQueen. I bet McQueen broke that in long before Griffith ever tapped it out.
Bell on door clanks, come on in Floyd observes my hairy chin Sit down, chair, don't be afraid Steamed hot towel on my face I'm ashamed I'm ashamed I'm ashamed
Barney ties me to the chair I can't see, I'm really scared Floyd breathes hard, I hear a zip Pee pee pressed against my lips I'm ashamed I'm ashamed I'm ashamed
I sense others in the room Opie, Aunt Bea, I presume They take turns and cut me up I died smothered in Andy's clutch I'm ashamed I'm ashamed I'm ashamed
When it comes to Hollywood, just assume they're nutcase liberal and more than 95% of the time you'll be right. The exceptions are there but very scarse.
I believe Ernest T was actually a Jewish guy from NYC or some such metropolitan area. He played a good part though.
From wiki:
"Morris was born to a Jewish[1] family in the Bronx, New York, the son of Elsie and Hugo Morris, a rubber company executive.[2] Morris attended New York University on a dramatic arts scholarship.[3] During World War II, Howard was assigned to a United States Army Special Services unit where he was the First Sergeant. Maurice Evans was the company commander and Carl Reiner and Werner Klemperer were soldiers in the unit. Based in Honolulu, the unit entertained American troops throughout the Pacific.[4]"

He actually played several roles on that show, to include the TV repairman, Leonard Blush The Masked Singer, the radio announcer, and a few others.

Come to think of it, I feel discriminated against for the non-hillbilly Jewish guy playing an inbred hillbilly......where's the ACLU? I need to get the Andy Griffith show cancelled.!!!!!
I like the show too. No negroes, phaggs, etc. Andy could be pretty overbearing at times though.
The show ran 8 years and ended its run the #1 rated show on TV...although by that time the show was absolutely dreadful.
Are you counting Mayberry RFD as a continuation of the show? After it stopped being The Andy Griffith Show, it continued as Mayberry RFD for a few years, without Andy Griffith. He was replaced as sheriff by Ken Berry, the guy who previously played Captain Parmenter, on F. Troop.

No, I didn't include RFD, which was just awful.
Agreed. I literally only watch the black and white shows. I don't even think of the color Andy Griffith show as part of the original series.
the show was superior. It displayed morality, ethics, loyalty and dispensed humor without the need for profanity and vulgarity. It was very pro-family .
In his personal life, though, Andy's morality was not so good and was a typical liberal.
The reason The Andy Griffith Show was so successful was because the show had some of the best comedy writers in Hollywood on staff. Those guys "thought funny." In my opinion, most so called comedy shows today are staffed by writers whose comedic talents are on about the same level as college fraternity rush skits.
