Bell on door clanks, come on in Floyd observes my hairy chin Sit down, chair, don't be afraid Steamed hot towel on my face I'm ashamed I'm ashamed I'm ashamed
Barney ties me to the chair I can't see, I'm really scared Floyd breathes hard, I hear a zip Pee pee pressed against my lips I'm ashamed I'm ashamed I'm ashamed
I sense others in the room Opie, Aunt Bea, I presume They take turns and cut me up I died smothered in Andy's clutch I'm ashamed I'm ashamed I'm ashamed
When it comes to Hollywood, just assume they're nutcase liberal and more than 95% of the time you'll be right. The exceptions are there but very scarse.

It's not over when you lose. It's over when you quit.
I believe Ernest T was actually a Jewish guy from NYC or some such metropolitan area. He played a good part though.
From wiki:
"Morris was born to a Jewish[1] family in the Bronx, New York, the son of Elsie and Hugo Morris, a rubber company executive.[2] Morris attended New York University on a dramatic arts scholarship.[3] During World War II, Howard was assigned to a United States Army Special Services unit where he was the First Sergeant. Maurice Evans was the company commander and Carl Reiner and Werner Klemperer were soldiers in the unit. Based in Honolulu, the unit entertained American troops throughout the Pacific.[4]"

He actually played several roles on that show, to include the TV repairman, Leonard Blush The Masked Singer, the radio announcer, and a few others.

Come to think of it, I feel discriminated against for the non-hillbilly Jewish guy playing an inbred hillbilly......where's the ACLU? I need to get the Andy Griffith show cancelled.!!!!!
I like the show too. No negroes, phaggs, etc. Andy could be pretty overbearing at times though.
The show ran 8 years and ended its run the #1 rated show on TV...although by that time the show was absolutely dreadful.
Are you counting Mayberry RFD as a continuation of the show? After it stopped being The Andy Griffith Show, it continued as Mayberry RFD for a few years, without Andy Griffith. He was replaced as sheriff by Ken Berry, the guy who previously played Captain Parmenter, on F. Troop.
